Government

Ruled by the Monarch of Genos directly though with required council by the leaders of the racial wards. The Monarch isn't directly beholden to the requests of any of the councilors but, as they have nearly equal authority within their respective wards, power struggles can often erupt.

Defences

  • The Old Davidian Walls
  • The Draconic Underground Network
  • The Mythil of Genos

Industry & Trade

Goods from Louer are taken into the ports here for processing by the pinnacle artisans of any race before being sent off. Additionally, peace summits are often held here as a neutral ground for a "small" fee.

Within the last century Paxpike has become known as "The Fashion Capital of the World" by many within and outside of its walls. A significant number of artisans here, especially in The Elven District, are skilled at tailory and fashion design and consume large amounts of textile goods.

Infrastructure

Old Davidian infrastructure with obvious touches from all the races that live there now. Elven gardens with dwarven stone pathways near orcish monuments. Most notably many of the most recent public works were done by draconic architects.

Districts

  • Palatial District: In the southeastern portion of the city; where Magister's Ridge was built.
  • Elven District: Contains primarily elven proprietors. The southernmost district of the city.
  • Orc District: Contains the highest concentration of orcs. North of the Elven district.
  • Common District: Everything else. The largest district, north of the orc district. Home to non-founding races such as gnomes, halflings, tieflings, etc.
  • Draconic District: South of the Dwarven district. Home to the primary architects of the city.
  • Dwarven District: The wealthiest district (besides perhaps the palatial district). The northernmost section of the city.
  • Docks District: Contains many warehouses and fisheries, as well as boats on the coastline. Sits to the east of several other districts.

Assets

The city is a vital trade hub as well as being the center of power of most major organizations within Genos. Any disputes between races can always find mediation within the walls here.

Guilds and Factions

  • The Mage Preists
  • The Royal House and Guard
  • The Lord's Houses and Guards

History

Originally the site of massive battles between the races, the first Davidian King, Hachepe, set this area as a peace offering and a spot where all could be victorious and prosper. After he willingly vacated the position he set the rules for the election of new dynasties. Since then, many kings and queens of all races have held rule here, though the most recent change was Queen Shiori's ascension almost three years ago.

Points of interest

  • Ribbons and Raiments: Yoruko's sewing and tailory shop in the elven district.
  • Spearplace: In the southeastern corner of the city; supposedly where Hachepe stabbed his spear into the ground.
  • Magister's Ridge: The palace the Monarch of Genos resides in with their family.

Architecture

White stone is the dominant material used here though many of the lower classes use imported wood from the surrounding settlements.

Geography

Located on the coast with several steep hills and spires of rock within.

Natural Resources

Aside from some building stone and access to the sea the natural goods here aren't much to speak of. This is a city of society for sure.
