Education
Shiori was keen to pay attention to all the tutors that her father hired, and as her sister paid them little mind Shiori often had their full attention and skills at her disposal. In addition to the courses she took in order to shore up skills at being an advisor she took an interest in magic that was more similar to the Magic Schools than the free spirited Mage-Preists. This desire to learn magic was seen as overly pedestrian by her father, who banned her from such things. Despite this, Shiori self-studied from whatever scraps she could get her hands on and even penned a few versions of spells of her own design.
Under King Yoruko, she made concentrated efforts to draft many spells of her own design, including a Simulacrum variation resulting in six extra copies of herself. Though they were emotionally unstable, they were able to speed up her research process quite a bit when not accomplishing other tasks, causing Shiori to become the most well-learned arcane caster in Genos (at the time).
As Queen, she has access to extensive libraries, such as the one found in the Royal Family's Wing in Magister's Ridge. From these places she has expanded her knowledge of any and every subject she desires, including her passion, magical theory.
She also occasionally listens to lectures on Davidian History given by her partner, Dreux.
Employment
Shiori was taught how to assist in the running of a household from a young age. She had been keeping the estate of her family in working order for 30 years by the time she was sent to aid the King's estate, as part of the deal that got Kawahara into the Royal Guard.
She served in the Royal Treasury for many years before her intellect was noticed by King Yoruko, who covertly took her under his wing as his personal assistant. During this time she acted not only as the King's attendant, but also as his unofficial second-in-command, occasionally taking on his appearance to get some of his work done. Beyond that, she was known to do all kinds of odd jobs for him, which included her being: caretaker for his pets, messenger for/with allied forces, a caster on the frontlines of certain battles, director of summoned devils, and even, in one case, the commander of an undead army.
Once the usurper King was dethroned, she was invited to become Queen Sora's advisor, and after her father was cast from the position, the Elven Lord of Paxpike. Three years would pass before Sora would invite her to take her position as the new Queen of Genos.
Accomplishments & Achievements
- Developing an enhanced Simulacrum spell that creates multiple copies of the subject. So far she is the only one to ever cast, and survive, the intense magics and mental trauma of the spell.
- Becoming possibly the most knowledgeable (if not accomplished) arcane caster in all of Genos.
- Serving in a specialized role under two separate monarchs.
- Becoming the Elven Lord of Paxpike and the Head of the Akechi family over her father.
- Finding a lover who returns her affection in Dreux.
- Becoming Queen.
Failures & Embarrassments
Shiori lacking demonstrable skills suitable for either soldiery or homemaking has made her something of an embarrassment to her father who is sure that finding her a husband will be a difficult endeavor.Touma is an idiot- Becoming so blind in her love for Yoruko that she would commit any atrocity he asked--and she did.
Losing Yoruko to Sora.- Having one of her Simulacrums killed in a bovine stampede while chasing Sora.
- Being kidnapped by Hanzo on her way to a summit in Innstead.
