Purpose

The terms of peace that settle the event known as the Mikazuki Dragon Attack. Peace is acheived between Genos and Blackmire.

Historical Details

Background

This documet was signed between the recently crowned Queen Sorahime Hinode who had defended Blackmire from dragon attack and deposed King Yoruko, defeating the devilish schemes that were acting through him and King Aric a longtime friend of hers. This marked an end to the conflict that King Yoruko started.

Public Reaction

Blackmire saw this as a loss, but given the near destruction of the Solare Order and the College of Blackmire earlier it was accepted as the best that could have been done.
Genos saw a restoration of things to the pre-Island Assailment days and welcomed the Hinode queen that corrected the wrongs of her father.

Legacy

The peace established a greater level of cooperation and respect between the two nations. While they never achieved the level of brotherhood they had under the old empire they began to work together on projects of mutual interest.

Treaty of Innstead

This peace signed on the 25th day of October between King Arik of Blackmire and Queen Sorahime Hinode of Genos formally declares an end to hostilities given the following provisions.
1. The settlement of Metis and the lands surrounding and required to access it on foot will be ceded to the Kingdom of Genos. The Kingdom of Blackmire will renounce any claims to the area.
2. The Fallen Leaf Isles that precipated conflict in the past are hereby enumerated to either power. Namely the islands of Leaf and Sugar to the Kingdom of Blackmire and the island of Drum to the Kingdom of Genos. Any actions by either party on the islands belonging to the other are hereby illegal and enforceable by arbitration by the sitting Regent of Koheno.
3. The City of Rush Bay, independent as part of the peace settlement of the Island Assailment, shall be restored to full independence. Its lands shall be additionally expanded to the westernmost edge of a creek running from Grass Lake to the joining point of these streams before connecting to the bay. The City will not be allowed to host, provision, or otherwise aid any troops under arms from any Kingdom, Duchy, Barony, City, Town, Empire, Republic, or other organized nation.
4. Genos will pay reperations to the next of kin of any slain in the fighting, from either soldier or dragon. The sum will be 200 gold coins per fatality and the sum will be paid in full no later than 15 years from the signing of this treaty.
5. No Kingdom that has standing in the signing of this treaty may take dishonorable actions against any standard bearing soldiery of any other signatory so long as the individual doesn't represent an active threat in conflict. Dishonorable actions are to include torture, unnecessary maiming, and punitive arcana.
6. All soldiery in service of the Crown of Genos or the Crown of Blackmire is eligible to receive pensioning after partaking in blooded combat, receiving an injury beyond common magics ability to remedy, or becoming deceased in conflict. This pension is to be no less than two silver coins per day. In the event that the soldiery was deceased the payment will be made to the next of kin for the expected extent of the natural life of the soldier.
7. In a symbolic gesture in place of the signatories Lord Felix Goodbrooke of Lesser Lye Island will be wed to Mayor Tumari Sisag of Stophzahn. Their marriage shall act as a familial binding between the monarchs.
