This helmet was constructed by
Yerrechin Inauron to protect his brain from mind reading and thought manipulation.
The helmet contains three radio emitters, one located towards the front and the others further back. They are designed for a range of about a hand's width, which is far enough to guard Yerrechin's brain, but not enough to interfere with the radios he is building for a living or - more importantly - give away his position over long distances.
Four sets of three small
spark jars are distributed over the sides of the helmet to supply the emitters with electricity. The redundancy ensures that the device remains functional when the cells in one set are depleted or lose their connection for some reason.
The wires for the different components run between the leather and the helmet's inner padding.
Yerrechin crafts all components from scratch. He avoids using any pre-made parts whenever possible, to ensure that nothing is tampered with.
Since the initial construction of the helmet, the technology has been revised and improved repeatedly. Yerrechin burns any sketches or notes regarding the helmet's design as soon as they are no longer needed, and instead relies on his familiarity with it.
The pébarór póga is designed to interfere with any radio signals meant to influence Yerrechin's brain, and to make his thoughts unreadable for others.
Yerrechin never leaves home without wearing this helmet. He feels safe enough within his house, thanks to the additional security measures he installed there, but nevertheless he prefers to keep the helmet within reach. After all, he needs to be prepared for the possibility that government agents should cut the electricity supply.

That was a fun read! I quite enjoyed how light-hearted and silly it was. Thanks for that.

Thank you, I'm glad you like it! Yeah, Yerrechin is the local weirdo - silliness is definitely one of the ingredients for him.
