Homeworlds of the Saturnites

The Saturnite people inhabit five fully terraformed moons: Dione, Iapetus, Rhea, Tethys, and Titan. These moons boast their own pressors and solar lenses, maintaining surface gravity and temperatures within acceptable limits. Significant minorities reside on Dione and Tethys, while the majority call Titan, Iapetus, and Rhea home. Additionally, three semi-inhabited moons – Pheobe, Mimas, and Enceladus – host tiny permanent populations and rotating temporary workers supporting local industries.

Terraforming and Habitation

Mimas and Enceladus have undergone partial terraforming, featuring thin atmospheres and solar lenses. In contrast, Pheobe remains a 'tomb world,' reserved for the burial of Saturnites in airtight sarcophagi. The semi-inhabited moons rely on self-sufficient sealed habitats and gravity plates to sustain life.

Defense and Military Tradition

Saturn's defense falls under Ringside Army Command, comprising four subdivisions: First Titan Army Command, Second Rhea Army Command, Third Iapetus Army Command, and Fourth Army Command Reserve headquartered on Dione. Each command boasts ground forces and a small fleet of starships, supplemented by space-capable hovercraft. Notably, Saturnite forces favor mechanized warfare, with a significant contingent of Stomper and Cataphract mechs – both of which originated on Saturn. Grav tanks are relatively rare in Saturnite armies.
