Knirk is one of the largest cities of the Valonia Empire located between the rivers junction that formed Dirwen River. It used to be the capital city of once the powerful Empire of Kritus until its fall.
Government
The city and surrounding area is controlled by a local governor who is appointed by the Senate. Prior to that, It was the emperor from monarch family who ruled the city before their abolishment. Kolonus was the last of them.
Defences
There's a big city wall built to defend any intruders from both river and land. Because of two rivers that acts as a natural barricade, the western wall is much less protective compare to the east.
Industry & Trade
The city's main income comes from agriculture. As the rivers provides good soil for farming and husbandry, the city is all-year abundant and never run out of food, which can be traded to any foreign nations and thus making Knirk one of the wealthiest city on the world.
Infrastructure
As the former capital, the well-maintained road system lead up to many cities, have already done holding all kind of business. However, the additional road was constructed in order to connect the city into Valone, the new capital.
History
It was severely damaged after the Valonian's siege on very last years of Empire, the wall was breached and many buildings, farm inside was burnt to the ground. Even some of them were still stands such as the library, it still take a few year to completely restore the city.
Architecture
Most of the building is made of fine marble with Roman-style post and triangular roof. Those building can be found on palace and all the governmental institutes. Further away from that, they are built out of brick.
