History
The Reeds were founded in the year 545 BCE, the third oldest house, when they founded SwampsShore in the swamp. They founded it there as they had been troubled with bandits in the area. They grew overtime, and soon founded the Reed Empire. They controlled territory that went as south as House Moor, who served House Reed at the time, and as west as Modern Day House Stone
The Empire lasted to 63 ACE, after they underestimated the Skala Tribe, the future House Stone. The Reed Empire broke and their lands occupied by the tribe. But eventually they regrouped and reformed into the Reed Kingdom. They reclaimed some of their old territory but House Moor declared a war of independence and won their freedom.
House Reed fought many wars with House Stone, and was once heavily occupied for many years. They formed a Rebellion and fought a vicious war until King Arthur Reed won the war and earned a place as a hero.
Then they formed a Union with House Stone as they saw the people of Bear Island as a threat.
Demography and Population
The people of the lands of House Reed are very sparsely populated, whith most people livng out in the country rather than in the city of SwampsShore or the holdfasts.
Territories
House Reed hold the territories of SwampsShore. They are also the rulers of the Houses in charge of Haroldry, Steed and Grey.
There are many smaller towns within their territory, with most belonging to the dukes of the cities mentioned before and only a few serving directly under the Reeds
Military
The Reed Army is mainly made of Light Infantry and Cavalry. They used to have the a Heavy Armour setion called the Sentinels, which is now the Kingsguard.
Their Calvary are very important to their army as they make up most of it. With their light infantry also being used as central force that is easy to recruit and train.

Religion
The people are free to practise any religion they choose, but it is recommended they follow the Old Gods as they are considered they "true" gods in the lands. But, they once did ban any members of Gazza or as they call themselves The Cult Of Gazza. The Law was repealed when the Reeds swore fealty to House Renly, and overtime the anger to Gazza followers died down.
Foreign Relations
House Reed is in open rebellion against the crown, so currently has poor relations with the King in the West's <link> bannermen <link>. House Reed has poor history with House Stone and House Moor .
Agriculture & Industry
The lands of House Reed make most of there money from extensive animal husbandry, pedigree breeding of horses and agriculture.
Trade & Transport
Their trade is very important to them, most of it coming in from the Coastal City of Steed. And a lot of trade comes off the Shore Road, which links SwampsShore to Salt Shore, while going through other territories as well, most notably the land of House Thrush.
They trade fish, valuables, and industrial items. Most of which are made in Steed, where class divide is common.
Education
Education is a priority for the Reeds, but most schools are separated by class. The members of House Reed are taught at court by the Archon of the Sentinels and the Court Tutor. Nobles learn at the Virtue Academy in SwampsShore. The regular citizens learn at schools built in towns.
