Personal history

King Jon the first, was born to King Harold II. It was a time of strange peace in the Reedlands. There had been no wars to fight, no rivalries or anything. It was time of serenity and invention.   Jon wasn't the eldest child, his older brother was the heir. His name was Lyle, the pride of the SwampsShore court. Jon was a quite child and never really spoke up. His entire life was meant for one thing - marriage and alliance. Harold had no daughters so it was up to Jon to marry into a House. This was made with House Moor, although their relationship has a rocky past, an alliance would make a world of difference. Little did they know at the time, that this alliance would be very useful.   Jon studied at the Virtue Academy like most Reed Nobles. But instead of being an important heir student, he was shunted into the lesser noble classes. Instead of making him angry at his family, it gave him a sense of understanding for the lower classes. He felt strongly opposed to the Gazza Law implemented in the Reedlands, he believed in free worship. Although not being an important student, he still learned the ways of combat and proved to be a skilled fighter. His talent was Horseback fighting.    When Jon turned 16, he married ____ of House Moor. This secured an alliance between the houses. Although it was a political arrangement they did form a bond over time.    4 years later, Harold II died from complications with illness. King Lyle the first was on the throne, a Golden Age some said. The dawn of a new time of the Reeds, it was short lived.   Problems struck when he turned 22, Lyle died by an assassination. Some extremists believing in the revocation of the Gazza Law believed that with Lyle out of the way and Jon on the throne, freedom of worship would be reinstated. However, their actions strengthened the law and Jon although somewhat sympathetic decided to order their deaths. This sadly, removed any chance for King Jon to repeal the law.   His coronation wasn't a major affair, no-one was prepared for it. Lyle had only just been crowned when he died, so this coronation happened soon after the last. Jon was very cautious and nervous about the ascension to the crown. He hadn't been trained for leadership, he was meant to just secure an alliance and live out of the spotlight - now he is in control of the entire Reedlands.   His rule was turbulent but did bring with it a time of production and prosperity. Trade was at an all time high as transport through the Moor territories had been secured. Moor was especially keen on this alliance now that their alliance was on the throne of the Kingdom. Steed had more trade then ever before during this time, seems the Golden Age was truly Golden.   By the time he was 36, Jon had three children. Two daughters and a Son. The Son was called Harold after his father.    Three years later, war began between House Sprinklage -- and House Sand. The war was not going in House Sprinklage's favor. House Reed has a kinship with Sprinklage as they're descended fromCrannogmen. They're have never had trouble and when House Sprinklage left to found their new land, the Reeds wished them the best.   King Jon was adamant to keep them as friends and joined the war on their side. He gathered the armies and marched south, he picked up the Moor troops along the way. When they heard of the siege of Long Garden, they Calvary was marched ahead to save House Sprinklage from defeat.   King Jon fought valiantly in the war but he died before it's conclusion. He died in the midst of battle. He left a Child King.
