Personal history
Jacken grew up in SwampsShore and rarely ever left the city, he was brought up around nobility. He had a best friend in a Noble House, they were almost inseparable.
King Jon Reed found the kid to be too focused on entertainment, Jacken was especially fond of tourneys and always asked to go with his father wherever a tourney was held. This lead to a bad accident at a Tourney at Haroldry, when Jacken almost lost his arm when he was 13. Jacken had found a likeness to one of the horses belonging to Dickon Reed. The horse, however, did not like his constant bothering and almost kicked his arm off. This event scarred Jacken, making him afraid of most horses. His love for tourneys died there and then. Although, he required a lot of medical attention Jacken had little permanent damage from the attack.
Jacken's mother Meera, spent a lot of time with him. Meera gave Jacken a pet dog, when he was 6. Jacken named it Dortitahh, after his favorite historical figure Dortitahh Seltra. The Dog was a great companion and spent a lot of time with Jacken and Vera Reed, but seemed to have a distrust of Ramsay Reed.
Sadly, Jacken died at the young age of 16 after being murdered with poison. His funeral was attended by a lot of Nobility and even had an appearance from Gazza himself.
His memory lives on in the people, and is considered one of the most popular members of the Reed Family. His death was a travesty and everyday people want the murderer to be found and punished to the full extent of the law.

He was given a lord's study in Swampshore and also learned how to play the Lute to play with his younger sister Vera. He had the ambition to become a musician and play across Pentos.
