Personal history
Born on the 2nd of August 1459 to King Jon Reed and Meera Snow. She was born in SwampsShore, and was the youngest child of the family. Vera is the last child of Jon and Meera, and the only one that was certainly, definitely not going to lead the Swamplands.
Vera as a child was quiet, never speaking up or being loud. Always off on her own usually reading something or drawing. She had a few friends but was unlike her brothers or sister. She was always the favourite of Meera, although she would never admit it. Vera took longer to learn etiquette and manners than Yara Mormont did, and she had a rebellious attitude to noble functions. She even decided to not show up to a dinner, when King Richard Renly himself was present, causing panic for Jon and the court. Eventually, she stopped and actually started to like the dinners at least.
She spent a lot of time with Jacken Reed, especially his pet dog Doritahh. They got along very well and even learned to play instruments together. She learned the Flute and Jacken learned the Lute. They would perform together at every grand dinner, and they always got cheers.
In school, she aced everything even though she hated it. Star Pupil of the Court Tutor.
She grew up with no intention to lead, due to being the youngest child but things happened and she ended up as the heir to the Swamplands. Jacken Reed died in a horrible murder by poison with the culprit still at large and Ramsay is well Ramsay.
The death of Jacken came hard to Vera as they were very close. She spent a lot of time alone after his death, and read a lot more. She became so isolated that the Court Tutor struggled to get her to turn up for lessons. She once had an adventure into the crypts of Swampshore and into the nearby forest. The trip to the forest scarred her, as she was kidnapped by a Cult. Her life had entered a downward spiral of sad events. It was soon that her father died on the war front, assassinated by mercenaries.
She was elevated to Queen and was not prepared. Jon's cousin, Norvil, stepped in as Lord Regent of the Swamplands and after a few months, it was decided that she would Abdicate after the war. But, then The coup of 13th of December 1472, The chaotic coup. Now she spends most of her time learning at the Virtue Academy and she has become able to somewhat lead the land but still requires assistance from Norvil.
