Fellowship of Matteus
Secret police force of the Sartrix on Ban Isle. In order to enforce rules and regulations on powerful sartrix one must be an even more powerful sartrix. They specialize in countering and binding weaves of the Ardent Path. With an aim to ensure that all who learn from Banupte remain loyal to the Tower and its laws.
Structure
Led by a Magus, the ranking members of this organization are a hundred twenty Fellows, twelve Masters, and six Grand Masters. They organize themselves with a combination of seniority, strength, and skill in stitching.
Assets
Each member has his own personal arsenal of Curio and Patches, Acus, Elixirs, and Mends alike. Golems are possessed by the higher ranked members. They each have a horse worthy of being a destrier and many have tent covered wagons or coaches pulled by two horses. Every member has a numen to aid in their tasks. Some have dafsir, nymphir, or even elementals.
History
Soon after the founding of the Ban Fellowship, its members learned that for the rest of the geopolitical powers to not destroy them, especially the Church of the Great Mother, they needed to protect themselves. Both from external and internal threats. The first meeting of senior members was convened to decide how they would take on that task. With the King's and Grand Duke's backing and protection, they were able to set themselves up among the other provinces as a political force. This fellowship was started by Matteus, the first warden, to keep the others in line. And its headquarters was chosen to be in neither Fortunado nor Adinerado.
Military
Their forces are a standing Army of footmen, bowmen, and horsemen. All led by fully trained Sartrix. Squads are led by mercenaries from various countries, many of whom have mastered several skills. Platoons are led by Fellows, companies by Masters, with banners and battalions led by Grand Masters. The whole order is led by a Magus. Every fighting man is given patches to carry and use in combat.
Education
Once a Sartrix joins this fellowship they begin to train in their specific way of stitching. Observation and tracking, binding, and defense are their primary focus.
Infrastructure
They maintain the safety and security of the way points, guarding the plazas they open into. Some of them are inside fortifications.
The power to destroy brings with it the responsibility to protect.
