Ban Isle
This island floats above the river Arresadi at the geographical center of Renscroprec. It was first raised by Gillespie and came crashing down on the night he disappeared. What keeps it in the air now is unknown, but it arose from the rubble as the new inhabitants took it for their home. Currently it is the site of Banupte and home to the Ban Fellowship.
Localized Phenomena
At the northern end of the island is a fresh water spring that feeds a river running its length, ending at a waterfall that empties into the Arresadi river from its southern tip. The source of the spring is unknown, but it is theorized that it is condensation drawn straight from the clouds that surround the island.
Fauna & Flora
Flora:
Plants and flowers of every variety can be found here. From medicinal to alchemical, and the fragrant. Some are carnivorous, and large enough to swallow a man whole. All serve a purpose. Trees and bushes form copses and groves that shelter various rodents and birds, mushroom patches dot their roots, with moss and crawling vines connecting them. At the center of the main garden there is a verdure who oversees all the other plant life.
Fauna:
Many creatures, both great and small, reside upon this island. Insects of both pollinating and venomous varieties live in the groves and gardens alike. Rodents, birds and lizards feed on the bugs, snakes and large birds feed on the smaller critters, and carnivorous plants feed on them all. A herd of bestial bovines roam in an ample enclosure. All of which are cared for and maintained by the residents who harvest them for alchemical purposes.
Telluric:
Deep within the bowels of the island, accessible only through the subterranean levels of the tower, there is a lares of immense power. It is the manifestation of the island itself.Natural Resources
The water from the spring is full of vita, and pure enough to be used to make elixirs and alchemical ink.
The animal hides from the islands herds can be used to make vellum for mends.
