Vita

Vita permeates all of reality and every living thing, the weave of realities tapestry, it is the spark that all things have, existence itself. It suffuses all of reality. Threads of Vita connect every living thing to every other. The threads can be string, cord, rope, or cable. Depending on the power of the connection. It is the sum of kinetic and heat energy, bound by life. To manipulate Vita first you must thread it, and then stitch it into the weave. Those who manipulate Vita are called by many names and they can fuel their manipulations through various paths-

• Ardent Path: Uses kinetic energy as fuel, needs to be built up in advance. Practitioners of this path use body movement to gather the needed energy.
• Resplendent Path: Uses heat energy as fuel, leaves cold spots in its wake. You can acquire this energy in one of two ways, the Telluric Way from the earth and the Caelum Way from the air.
• Infernal Path: Uses life energy as fuel, leaves necrosis in its wake. Practitioners of this path keep some form of life with them to draw on.
• Ancestral blood lines also carry abilities. With man, beast, and plant variants. Common abilities include psionic, psychic, ascension, and divination. With these they can detect, project or control emotions, thoughts, spirit, or truth respectively.

Before threading can be done, one must first understand it. The individual parts of the weave that can be affected are called forma, and these are made up of smaller parts. Abstract ideas are represented by runes, cause and effect are represented by glyphs, and beings of real authority have sigils. Forma can be made of any combination of these parts.

Localization

Vita flows across the world like currents of life, rivers bringing greater power wherever they go. Points of confluence magnify the power exponentially. One such point is Faraus Ofim Catior and another is the tower of Banupte. At these locations great changes to the weave can be achieved. As such, areas with low Vita flow also exist. The less life exists in an area the less ambient Vita exists. Such a place is Intoncuilado, the badlands northeast of Elado.
Vita barriers can also be formed to block the flow. They do not form naturally but must be empowered by intent. A similar naturally occurring phenomena is running water washing away vita and erasing the forma of the weave. Much like erosion on the physical landscape. The sunrise comes over the land in a cleansing wave, burning away any forma not naturally occurring, unless anchored to a threshold.
