Crossbows
Crossbows
The average Crossbow has the following stats
Weapon Skill: Archery
Single Shot Damage: 4d6
Standard Magazine: 1 (Arrow)
Rate of Fire: 1
Hands Required: 2
Attachment Slots: 3
Concealable: No
A Poor Quality weapon will jam on a Critical Fumble on their Attack Checks
An Excellent Quality weapon will have a +1 to its Attack Checks
An Exotic weapon is considered to be Standard Quality, with 0 starting Attachment Slots, and is incompatible with Non-Basic Ammunition unless otherwise noted. A non exotic weapon that starts with preinstalled Attachments can have those Attachments removed to free up that slot, but that weapon can only be reattached to a weapon of the same weapon category. An exotic weapon cannot have its preinstalled attachments removed. Unless otherwise stated, they use the following Range Table
Eagletech Arbelest:
The Latest version of the Eagletech Arbelest trades power for accuracy by adding a smart targeting system. Rumour has it Biotechnica's rangers favor the Arbelest exclusively, pairing it with sedative arrows to bring down experimental wildlife.
An Excellent Quality Crossbow, preinstalled with a Smartgun Link.
Eagletech Scorpion:
Giant of a crossbow, so powerful it comes standard with a cocking winch. Those rare Solos who prefer old-world style over firearms substance swear by the Scorpion.
An Excellent Quality Crossbow.
Eagletech Stryker:
The gold standard in sports crossbows, used by competition shooters everywhere to ensure an even playing field, where skill matters more than how much you spend on gear.
A Standard Quality Crossbow.
Eagletech Survivalist:
The Eagletech Survivalist is a combination crossbow and rifle rolled into one impressive piece of kit. The bow components are built into the middle section of the assault rifle giving the weapon the appearance of a larger crossbow. The rifle barrel runs above and parallel to the arrow track, allowing for faster firing. Arrows are loaded directly into the arrow track, which automatically draws them back. The ammo clip for the assault rifle slides into the stock of the weapon to cut down on weight.
The Eagletech Survivalist was originally marketed to hunters and wilderness guides, and it initially sold only modestly. Sales picked up as ammunition shortages struck the northern territories of the Americas, leading more Nomads and other wilderness types to turn to reliable crossbows to solve their lack-of-bullet woes. Nowadays, you can find many of these weapons secondhand floating around the Night Markets.
The Survivalist is an Exotic Combination Crossbow and Assault Rifle. The Assault Rifle mode is incapable of Autofire, only has 10 shots in its magazine, and is fired with the Archery Skill instead of the Shoulder Arms, despite firing bullets. Both modes of this weapon benefit from the weapon's integrated Sniping Scope, and can load Non-Basic Ammunition despite being Exotic Weapons. Incompatible with Magazine Attachments, and cannot be installed into a Popup Mount.
Everest VentureWare Mountaineer:
When you're hunting in high areas, theres always a chance the ground will crumble beneeth your feet. Don't panic. Just use the Mountaineer's undermounted grapple and you'll swing to safety and get back to bagging the ultimate game.
A Standard Quality Crossbow, preinstalled with a Grapple Gun Underbarrel.
GunMart Hunter:
GunMart delivers the "best" of both worlds with the Hunter by combining the plasticized engineering you'd expect from a kid's toy, with the deadly potential of an actual weapon. If that sounds good, you should probably grow a sense of cynicism about marketing.
A Poor Quality Crossbow.
GunMart Midnight Hunter:
The GunMart Midnight Hunter is the same piece of junk as the Hunter but comes with a nightvision scope to make your dreams of hunting under the moon a reality.
A Poor Quality Crossbow, preinstalled with an Infrared Nightvision Scope.
Single Shot Damage: 4d6
Standard Magazine: 1 (Arrow)
