Lich

Liches are undead and appear very much so as decaying and skeletal forms with an ethereal cloak. They also gain almost inconceivable amounts of magical power, achieving a rating of 7.5 on Nitra's scale of magical relativity. They gain immortality in the sense of age, and are immune to disease and other forms of illnesses, and they are extremely difficult to kill as they can shrug off injuries that would kill other beings. This is in thanks to their souls and magical power being stored in their ethereal cloak. All of their power exists and is sourced from this cloak, and any and all souls and magic they consume is stored within it as well.   A Lich's cloak is their health bar, it acts as a signifies of how health/power the lich is at a moment. Much like a flame, how visible it is shows how much power is stored in the cloak. Should the cloak be only a wisp of ethereal energy, it is only the Lich's soul and perhaps a few drops of kana left. But if it is nearly blinding and majestically draping behind the Lich like a king's cloak, then they are at maximum power.   A lich's maximum power is determined by the amount of people they had consumed before transforming. If they ate the bare minimum of 39 people to transform, they will be formidable, but also a really weak lich. A lich who has managed to consume double that amount is even more powerful, and a lich who has consumed over 100 people in the week being the strongest of all liches. This acts as sort of a power cap, which a weaker lich being able to store less power in their cloak than a powerful lich.
Liches are powerful beings created by the The Blackened Soul Ritual in search of immortality and power.

Basic Information

Anatomy

A Lich's appearance varies greatly and- like all undead- heavily relies on what the individual looked like in life. Their appearance is always rotten, with patches of missing skin, hair, or scales. Some may even become entirely a skeleton.   In addition, Liches have a pair of horns as well as sharpened nails and enlarged canines. Their eyes begin to glow brightly, and they gain an ethereal blue and white cloak made out of their soul, magical energies, and any other souls they have consumed. They are also up to three times taller than their mortal selves, with their limbs also looking elongated and distorted.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Liches need only to consume magical energies and people's souls to fuel their power. This is stored in their ethereal cloak, along with their own soul and kana. They do not need to eat or drink, and the consumption of souls and kana isn't even neccesary, it is just done to increase a Lich's power.

Additional Information

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Liches are able to see through even the darkest of shadows and nights, and can see a wider range of light than most races, but in turn they are easily blinded by bright flashes of light. Their taste is reduced to nothing, and their ability to smell is amplified to be comparable to a shark.   Liches can also see the magical auras of any being with magical power, and can even 'smell' the presence of magic in all of its forms, and magic is also the only thing they can taste. If there is a presence of magic in the room aside from the Lich's own magic, then they will just know it is present.

Civilization and Culture

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Liches see everything as beneath them, as they either serve their purpose as either food or as servants, making anything else useless to them.
