Much like humans in our world, humans are upright intelligent apes that excelled in hunting and tool usage. Unlike humans, the existence of magic as a driving basis to the world has affected their evolution and thus created humans slightly different from our own. For one, they are somewhat hairier, and for another, they have evolved and adapted with the ability to manipulate magic and have learned how to control those magical energies into spells. With these traits, they have spread far across the world and have created a vast amount of nations, cultures, and empires.

Anatomy

Humans are upright with two arms and two legs, with their form being especially suited for upright movement, tool usage, and intelligence. Their bodies appear to be almost hairless, though most of their bodies are in fact covered in fine hairs except for the underside of their hands and feet, some of their face, and on the sides of their torso and shoulders. Thicker hair is often found on their hands, crotch, and legs, while males tend to have beards. Though facial hair is still present on females, it is still lesser, and beard growth is very unlikely bar medical conditions. On the top of their scalps they grow hair useful for trapping heat as well as for styling for social reasons. Humans also have two pairs of eyes, a huge variety in the shapes of facial features, and a great variety in body shapes. They also have skin colors that range from a pale peachy color to tans, to browns, to almost black-browns.
Their hair as well as their eyes can come in natural colors, such as greys, browns, blacks, and blonds for hair; and browns hazels, greens, and blues for eyes, that find function and use in camouflage and similar reasons. But they can also come in vibrant colors of a huge range of colors- from reds, to blues, to greens, to yellows, to violets; and everything in between. These colors evolved from exposure to magical energies in some human ancestors, and circumvented their coloration disadvantages with the power the individuals gained from magical energies.
