Diabolis

The Diabolis are a group of 6 beings who ascended to godhood, but were cast out by the other deities for their evil nature. They are chained away in Sepulcher with only a small influence on the outside world, and thus they are almost completely a secret to an everyday resident of Nielea. Only a few cults and followers know of their existence, and those who do are often worshipers and puppets of the Diabolis. They provide promises and gifts of secrets unknown to humanity, and try to guide followers with these whisperings. And to them, this is a means to amass armies under their following for when they finally break free, so that they may war against the Deities themselves. Many a dark spell or ritual came about from their small influence and the knowledge they have in all of their power. The only thing truly holding them in their prison are the Nielean deities themselves. While all of the Diabolis are in the same situation, not all of them get along, and many of them only share a hatred of the deities that bound them at best. This leads to each Diabolis acting for their own needs and forming their own individual followings, rather than forming a shared plan of revenge.

Anatomy

The appearance of each Diabolis depends on who they were upon their ascension. The only shared thing about their appearance is that their imprisonment has drained them of any humanity, and this reflects in their appearance. They appear corrupted and shadowy, with wisps of black shadow billowing off of their forms, and glowing eyes that piece through the darkness. Many also appear more pallid and dark, while others appear very gaunt.

Dietary Needs and Habits

They have no need for food or water due to their ascendant state, though Sepulcher generates a longing for these things once more.

Additional Information

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

They are capable of scrying the outside world at will, becoming all-seeing in the process. They can sense everything through their minds, as if they were gazing into the world through a film. They also have the capability of telepathically contacting those that they focus on, but they save this for only the most important of situations to hide what power they still have from the other deities.
