The Forbidden
A group of banished Deities who rebelled in order to abuse their power. They fought a year long war with The Deities before finally losing and becoming imprisoned in Sepulcher for all of their existence. They have since gained power by manipulating the world of Nielea from their prison.
Structure
The Forbidden are led by Dhehaim while the other Diabolis are of a status beneath him.
Public Agenda
To gain revenge on the Deities so that they can rule over the universe and do what they wish with it. They subtly corrupt and alter the world and people in it so that they may eventually gain freedom and the power to usurp the Deities.
History
Thousands of years ago, shortly after the Ascension of the deities, seven beings who had managed to succeed and complete the ritual to ascend decided they desired to abuse their power. They were rallied by one of their own to lead a rebellion against the Deities so that they may take over and rule the world as their plaything and domain.
This rebellion led to a war between the gods for an entire year, forcing both sides to even involve the mortals in this war. Eventually, the beings known as the Diabolis found themselves defeated. They were stricken from the record of history to all but the remaining followers of the Diabolis. After their defeat, the Deities banished the seven Diabolis to a newly created dimension known as Sepulcher. This dimension was reinforced by their combined power to be able to contain even the most powerful of beings, so that they could never escape unless a Deity fell, or they had intentionally released them. This event quickly caused the now named Forbidden to swear vengeance on the pantheon, and set them on the path of corrupting the world the deities so loved. All of the millennia spent in this prison have eventually removed any traces of humanity and compassion in all of the individuals, turning them into the most evil of all beings in existence.
Worship
Those who worship the Diabolis are either unwillingly or willingly choosing to become eternal servants of these fallen deities. They are compelled to form cults and organizations to either spread harm throughout the world or recruit more followers. To worship the Forbidden, you must show your faith by making a deal with one of them or vowing in their name. This is followed by creating the type of disorder that the Diabolis you made a pact with favor or otherwise helping them build their mortal army.
