Corocotta are nocturnal hunters, where they can hide and use their vocals to lure in prey and easily ambush them. They have excellent night vision as a result. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light.

Mimicry

The Corocotta are renown and sometimes reviled for their ability to perfectly mimic others voices. You are able to copy the speech, noises, and language of an individual or creature you have heard in the past month. You are also able to pick up languages twice as fast as other races. Additionally, you have proficiency in the Deception and Performance skills.

Stealthy Shadow

As a race of night time hunters, Corocotta know exactly how to keep themselves hidden when there is little to no lighting. When you are in low lighting or darkness, you gain advantage on stealth rolls.

Startling Laughter

One of the most defining noises a Corocotta can make is its laugh. Once per day, as a bonus action, you can release a horrific laugh that startles your enemy. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw, and if they fail, they are given a disadvantage on attack rolls for two turns.
