Darkvision

Places that are dark and damp are often places Mykarsians call home, and so their eyesight is easily adapted to the dark. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.  

Marine Mushroom

A Mykar is adapted to a semi-aquatic life, allowing them to collect air in bubbles on their cap in order to breathe underwater. You are able to submerge underwater for up to 6 hours without needing to return to the surface. However, your body is also reliant on moisture and drying out is a concern. Once a day, you must submerge yourself in water for 30 minutes or gain a level in exhaustion.  

Fungal Growths

Your kind has a strange ability to create fungal formations to do their bidding. Twice per day, as a bonus action on your turn, you are able to target a square within a 15 foot radius around you to create a fungal growth in that square. You must select one of the following effects for that growth:
  • You create a patch of poisonous mushrooms that release a cloud of poisonous spores in a 5 foot radius around the spot. Any creature that walks into the cloud must make a Constitution saving throw against a DC of 6 + your Proficiency + your Constitution modifier. If they fail, they are Poisoned for the next 15 seconds. The mushrooms will expire after 15 seconds.
  • The growth creates a barrier or bridge out of sturdy mushroom that forms between two objects in a 15 foot line. This barrier has health of 6 + your proficiency modifier. The barrier will shrivel up after 35 seconds have passed.
  • You create a singular, large mushroom that leaks out a sticky, inky black substance that is released in a 10 foot radius around the mushroom. When an attacker or player walks into one of the squares the inky substance is located in, their movement is halved until they end a turn in a square outside of the inky substance. This mushroom will expire after 15 seconds, and the inky substance evaporates after.
Only one growth may be active at a time, but they may be cancelled before the effect has ended.
