Blue's Mission

So, the year started and this thing came up. Blue's mission. I was a little challenged when it came up because I was quite happy focussing on the world and the "pretty" part of my life has never been a focus. But I was not raised a piker - and I had a year.

First came the banner - as a history with the old forum RP back in places like Ficpress, there was something I knew how to do - find an image that was public sourceable and if fancy do some editting. But maybe a brief scroll of Tumblr to set the mood, yes? While there I discovered Vormonox, an artist that was selling the header image I use now as prints and such. A quick email and some respect (and a thanks fee), and I now have the permission (and a cropped version) to display as the banner.

While not part of the challenge, in that same vein, music was inspired by the Marchitecture hub article and a certain artist soon had a commission to produce the Levis theme music.

The map was never going to be the easiest from me, until I was on a train and saw the station map and realised I did not have to struggle with the paper mud map I'd been working with. Plus, it gives an extra layer of adventure and exploration to my players.

As of Mid-March the only thing left to do is the background image, though a part of me is still pleased at the base

As of the first of May Catoblepon has produced this gorgeous CSS custom for Levis (with more to come laterer) and that too has come with a backround image (though that too is not the final image), though now I need a second header for my horror prose.

And Again, again

This time I signed up for another wave, always knew I was going to try, didn't know if I'd be allowed. This will of course be partnered with another Cato update, but Blue has me this time requiring two things - a primer and better codex organisation. As you've seen this place is hecking scattershot the latter is going to be harder. But tally ho.

January 2026 Update:

So the Cato update has been delayed, and it took a 'main page global article submission' thing in the WA discord to get me seeing all these main pages to get me to spend some time adding categories.

I've gone for a region specific organisation, and I have been trying that World opening page. I'm not quite happy with it, but it feels a touch more professional.

Just finished the first part of the Primer, got me some summery of the core realm. I plan to hit a ' the rest of the universe at a glance' stuff, but for now I'm happy.
