Waverly point Soundtower
In the rough waters of Waverly Point (hence the names), conditions are ripe for deep fogs and strong rips.
Conditions often bring ships into the path of the sharp rocks that encase the point, deep and black and sharp.
The only thing in the way, is the sound tower.
A building that curls across the cliff face like a hanging sloth, the sound tower usually hosts a crew of 2 to 5 watchers, and a rotating mage to tend to the technomagical circuit.
The bottom third is used for housing, the middle third houses the seawater plants that power the tower and the top third holds the cultivating materials and supplies that can repair the physical components, as well as an emergancy telescope - for manually viewing upcoming threats and dangers.
Along the length of the tower are large funnel like protrusions, used for blasting out the sound meant to alert the ships to the presense of the rocks. These funnels are fed into the core of the tower, technomagical circuits leading down to the power source while upwards the inside of the tower is enscribed the circuit that stores and produces the vibrations that will then be led down to the funnels for amplification.
The song of the sound tower is specifically chosen for three things - its raw ability to carry long distances when amplified, whether it will disturb the local wildlife, whether it will drive off the Minas Alis - Sea bird .
Several early templates of the tower used light (which was found to quickly degrade the lifeforms around the point due to the natural bioluminescence of most creatures in Levis) and then several single tone sounds - such sounds the massive aerial predator found as noise and soon would land to rip apart the seacliff tower. Thus a combination of sound engineers and conservationists risked life and limb to experiment on keeping the point safe.
