Vertus
Vertus is a town of community.
From the festivals that regularly celebrate its history. To the paintings of gods on each building. There are the gatherings to share resources and food and massive creative afternoons where things like Greshire are made in large batches.
The Design of the city is a wheel with the central community area in the centre, and gardens pushing out from the gathering area like spokes, and the buildings people live and work in coming out from the centre like concentric circles.
Work in Vertus is more about building and designing fabrics that are exported out to the other cities and towns of Levis. Greshire is a big export, but also an excuse for the town to collaborate, but smaller creations, like the manufacture of tattoo ink - actual tattoo ink, not the circuit paint, is something that several of the families work together in Vertus to create, and several of the Vertus natives are Trackers and Hunters.
Several demons have openly made their home in Vertus, most openly a Brute has recently become known to have taken up residence, finding joy in the pounding of spices, and learning the spice and curry heavy cuisine of Vertus.
The community of Vertus itself is seen as an outsider, both for its proximity to the southern forest and its open worship of many of the gods long repressed.

Government
The ruling person is the Grandmother, the oldest living woman in town of sound mind. Town decisions are passed through her and delegated in problem solving sessions. If something needs community funding, the Grandmother will collect all the heads of households to make a decision.
Defences
The town is surrounded by a wall and the gate is a series of interconnected floating rocks over a naturally forming pit.
Infrastructure
The biggest piece of infrastructure is the massive water wheel on the Starfall River, its kinetic power converted into stirring artificial eddies into a conversion tank.
