The Basilisks
  • Scatter: During each player's turn, before Initiative moves are made, each Basilisk token moves 20cm in a random direction (determined by rolling a scatter die, or if using a Hex Map, turning D6 'faces' clockwise), then makes D6 attacks on the nearest unit, as described in the Unleash ability below.
  • Unleash: During deployment, secretly note which unit or character is carrying the Basilisks. Once per game, as a Ranged Attack (including as a reaction to a charge), the unit or character can Unleash the Basilisks. Place the Basilisk tokens anywhere fully within 20cm of the attacking unit, then for each token make D6 attacks on the nearest unit (friend or foe). Armour saves cannot be taken against these attacks, but cover is taken into account as usual. Once placed the Basilisk markers are not units and are not considered to belong to either player. Either player may have a unit end a move on top of a Basilisk token to remove it.
  • Untamed Beasts: After a battle:
  • If this unit's controller was victorious, each token remaining on the battlefield is retrieved. Tokens which were removed during the course of the game are retrieved on a 4+.
  • If the battle ended in a draw, each token remaining on the battlefield is retrieved on a 4+.
  • If the battle ended in a loss, each token remaining on the battlefield and within 20cm of a friendly unit is retrieved on a 4+.
  • In future battles, the number of tokens deployed for this unit's Unleash ability is equal to the number of tokens retrieved in the previous battle.

  • Shadebound: See The Church of the Silenced Bell for common Shadebound rules.
  • Devourer: Each time a Unit is removed from base contact with The Devourer, roll a D6, on a 4+ put that Unit to one side. The Devourer has all keywords of units removed this way, and adds +1 to its Attacks value for each unit removed this way.
  • Autonomous: This unit cannot join Brigades. This unit automatically passes the first order given to it each turn. Do not increase the difficulty of subsequent orders to this unit for the first order this unit receives each turn.
