Assets
House Traan are the house responsible for governing Waylton, a prosperous trade city in The Blackbar Holding. They have played a large part in The Somercrag Royal Fleet, even before it became a formal organisation. They have also had the benefit of trade across The Bay of Glass, and with the nearby Spire in Somercrag.
History
In 440KS, as with most houses in The Kingdom of Somercrag, House Traan was drawn into the was against The Irogonie Aggression. Their ships were pressed into service to carry armies and supplies along the Eastern coast of The Kingdom of Irogonie, however they were ill-prepared for the Irogonians' naval power, and in an early clash their flagship was boarded by Dualist forces, and ser Hectar Traan, then head of the house, was slain. His wife, ser Eleana Traan-Ridman was already in the field in command of the house's footmen, so the house's fleet did not truly recovered from the defeat until the war was over.
In late 441KS, House Traan's forces were amongst those gathered at Castle Blackbar when ser Tyon Cray marched across The Witwell Mountains on the way to The City of Bayglen to press his demands as part of The Revolution of 441KS.
In 454KS the kingdom was once again at war, and House Traan rallied to the Royalist side of The War For The Foxworth Secession 454KS. At the orders of ser Edeline Blackbar, House Traan joined the holding's forces in securing Oldrock, a castle at a vital pass in the Witwells between Guller's Pass and Castle Blackbar. The fighting there was bitter, with House Durbach of Felweather Keep and The Death Crows Mercenary Company besieging the pass for almost a year, until an avalanche fell across the pass, scattering besieger and defender alike. Ser Eleana Traan-Ridman died in the initial catastrophe along with most of the House's staff, and ser Kevan Traan was brought back to Waylton suffering from injuries related to the cold. Fortunately these injuries were treated by a passing Knight Errant from The Order of the Basilisk, allowing ser Kevan an unexpectedly full recovery.
