Prince Felix Whitewave Alderley
His Highness Prince Felix Whitewave Alderley
Often joking that he's the "ultimate spare" of the Kingdom of Crathlia, Prince Felix will never inherit the throne unless (Saints forbid) his brother Prince Victor was to die before having children. If his sister Princess Eloise hadn't married into the Lumen royal family, he would have been behind her as well. As it is, Prince Felix will marry Dairine Rosmors Waterguard and govern Waterguard alongside her one day.
Personal History
Family
The second child of Queen Alexandra and King Leonard, Prince Felix tested ten points lower than both his siblings. Thus he has never been in consideration for the throne, but a relatively low power carrier concentration for an Alderley is still a high power carrier concentration for anyone else. He was highly sought after as a husband as long as he was at Everdon Academy. Future Duchess Dairine Rosmors Waterguard went so far as to challenge all of her rivals to a traditional duel for his hand. She emerged victorious (both in the arena and the negotiations with the king and queen), and the two are now engaged. They are to be married on Ogmal 26th of this year, 1314, and are currently taking the traditional tour around the country to the manors of their fellow nobility.Education
Prince Felix was educated at Everdon Academy a year ahead of me, and by all accounts, did relatively well in all his classes, though he tended to steer away from more difficult subjects, such as law. I always had the perception he did as well as he could with the least effort possible, sailing through with decent marks, and spent a considerable amount of time playing video games rather than studying.Social
Contacts and Relations
In his own right, Prince Felix does have a large network of contacts among the Crathlian nobility. His quiet but laid-back and affable personality made him relatively popular at Everdon and thus with the next generation of rulers. Most people I know would do him a favor without question because of his status both as a prince and as Dairine Waterguard's future husband--even if the favor wasn't paid back physically, the idea of being thought well of by Prince Felix (and by extension, the future Duchess Waterguard) is enough. In particular, through his brother, he's rather close to his second cousin Marcus Whitewave Colbreak, the heir to the Colbreak estate.Family Ties
None of the royal family is particularly close to the Whitewaves, other than Lillian Whitewave Colbreak's family. The Alderley clan is small and close-knit, with the only other branch being Prince Alden's. Prince Felix's strongest ties are to his immediate family: the king, the queen, his sister Princess Eloise Whitewave Alderley, and his brother Prince Victor Whitewave Alderley. However, his sister's position in the Lumen Empire makes it difficult for them to remain connected, except through online means. He has told me before that they chat over video at least once weekly and occasionally play video games together remotely. Victor has told me (and said as much in interviews) that he considers Felix his most important confidant and his best friend. As far as I've seen, they are as close as any brothers I've ever known. Silly as Felix can be, his judgement about other people tends to ring true, and he is likely a more valuable partner to his brother than anyone really knows.Relationships
