Humans
After we wrote the Aignaoithe article together, Fiachra felt that we needed an article about all of humanity. I argued that that makes little sense considering the size of the human race compared to that of the aignaoithe or the naered. However, my desire for completion prevailed (as well as a desire for something really and truly easy to write), thus I sit here with my shapeshifter friend writing an article about the human race.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Humans have two sets of limbs--legs and arms. They stand on their legs and, if descended from shapeshifters, they use their powers with their hands (in general, at least). Being mammals, they have hair (though sparse, remaining mostly on the top of their heads). Fiachra notes that he found hair fascinating when he first examined his human body (his words, not mine).
Genetics and Reproduction
Fiachra told me I had to write something here, since I forced him to do so in the aignaoithe article.
Humans reproduce sexually, like any mammal, and give live birth after 9 months of pregnancy.
Additional Information
Geographic Origin and Distribution
Other than Inis Baile Mor, the domain of the aignaoithe, humans live on every continent and many islands worldwide. The Ruins are another exception, though they were inhabited before being destroyed in the Shattering War.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
I have no way of describing the human experience with the five senses (sight, hearing, touch, smell, taste) since I have no other frame of reference, and I feel it'd be redundant to repeat the aignaoithe article in reverse. Thus, I'll leave that link there.
While humans aren't generally capable of telepathy, those descended from shapeshifters can converge with one another, forming a temporary telepathic connection along the connection of hands.
