  The Gaulan Plains is a vast and diverse region, characterized by its flat grasslands, wetlands, deciduous forests, and small mountains and hills. The Great Plateau is the central and highest area of the region, and it is surrounded by rivers and lakes. The north of the Plains is warmer and transitioning to a savanna-like biome. The east is damp and home to deciduous forests, while the south is very rainy. The west is the beginning of a mountain range, where the hills and rocks increase.   The southeast is a rocky area with a mixed forest and the southwest is wetlands. The region has an average temperature is mild and gets average rainfall, except for the southwest which is known for its heavy rainfalls. The area is home to many farms, taking advantage of the flatness and weather of the grasslands, which send their goods to be sold to the capital city of Skygarde located in the center of the Great Plateau.   The region is divided into 9 provinces, each with its unique geography and characteristics. Great Plateau, Picton, Tivoli, Wexford, Spyre, Duntaluum, Taiseanam, Dharnton and Rathven, these provinces are diverse in terms of size, geography and culture. Each province has its own capital city, where the Provincial Lord resides.     The mine dwarves of the Gaulan Plains are a hardworking and skilled group of people who are known for their expertise in mining and extracting valuable resources from the earth. They primarily reside in the mines of Wexford and Tivoli, where they work tirelessly to extract and process ore, including high-value minerals and metals like gold and iron. They are known for their strength and ability to work in dangerous and challenging conditions. They are also skilled in the use of tools and machinery, and have a deep understanding of the earth and how to extract its resources. They are respected by the local population and are an essential part of the region's economy, as well as its culture. They have a strong sense of community, and are known for their loyalty to the Highking and the kingdom. They are also known for their contribution to the economy and culture of the Gaulan Plains.   The hill dwarves of the Gaulan Plains are a group of people known for their hardworking and resourceful nature. They primarily reside in the hills and mountains of Tivoli, Dharnton, and Taiseanam, where they tend to herds of animals and farm on the rugged terrain. They are skilled at living off the land, and are experts at navigating and surviving in the hills and mountains. They are also known for their strong sense of community and family, and their communities often help each other to survive and thrive in the harsh mountain environment. They are known for their resourcefulness, and are skilled in the use of tools and machinery, as well as being experts in the use of natural resources such as wood and stone.   The plain dwarves of the Gaulan Plains are a group of people known for their agricultural skills and close relationship with the land. They primarily reside in Picton and Wexford, Dharnton, where they farm on the flat and fertile grasslands. They are skilled at growing various crops, have a deep understanding of the land and weather, and have a strong sense of community and tradition. They are known for their loyalty to the Highking and their contribution to the economy and culture of the Gaulan Plains.   Vohkin: The Vohkin are a proud and ambitious people, with a strong mercantile and monarchal heritage. They are known for their wealth and their powerful trading networks, as well as their loyalty to the Highking and their kingdom. They are a driving force in the economy of the Gaulan Plains, and their power and influence can be felt throughout the land.   Dakar: The Dakar are a rugged and resourceful people, with a strong connection to the sea and a rich maritime heritage. They are known for their seafaring skills and their ability to thrive in the wetland regions of Taiseanam. They are also known for their ingenuity and their ability to harness the resources of the land to create a sustainable and self-sufficient way of life.   Daijin: The Daijin are a nomadic and independent people, with a strong connection to the land and a rich agricultural heritage. They are known for their farming skills and their ability to thrive in the damp and forested regions of Picton, Wexford and Rathven. They are also known for their free spirit and their desire for adventure and exploration.   Spiroak: The Spiroak are a proud and powerful people, with a rich cultural heritage and a strong connection to magic. They are known for their powerful empire and their ability to harness the power of magic to achieve great things. They are also known for their fierce loyalty and their desire to reclaim their former glory.   Caluan: The Caluan are a reserved and insular people, with a rich cultural heritage and a strong connection to the desert to the north. They are known for their isolationist ways and their ability to thrive in the harsh desert environment. They are also known for their stoic and reserved nature, as well as their fierce sense of pride and their desire to protect their culture and traditions.   Wyndan: The Wyndan are a fierce and battle-ready people, with a rich cultural heritage and a strong connection to the land. They are known for their fierce warrior spirit and their ability to defend their home and people. They are also known for their deep sense of loyalty and their desire to protect the kingdom and the Highking.   Tekwen: The Tekwen are a blended culture of Caluan, Vohkin and Spiroak. They are a mix of the three cultures, blended for centuries. They are known for their unique customs and beliefs, as well as their contributions to Duntaluum and the east edge of Picton. They are also known for their loyalty to the Highking and their desire to protect the kingdom.           Farmland, rolling hills, Skygarde separates charmsand and plateau, plain dwarves live here, the cult of the harvest star attack dwarves and burn fields.   The dwarves of Galfin are peaceful and proud. This race of short stature have proven to be able to adapt to any harsh surroundings; whether it be the plain dwarves who farm on the Great Plateau, the mine dwarves who spend their much of their lives in the Bilden Mine looking for treasures, or the arctic dwarves who fish the unforgiving northern seas in Snowpeak; the dwarves will always be strong and show that size does not matter.   There are only a few dozen giants left in Galfin, the few remaining wander the realm trying to survive. Centuries ago the mighty cyclops destroyed city's and crushed armies of elves and humans, the smaller races had enough and confronted their abusers, they exterminated most of the cyclops. During this genocide the giants were grouped with the one-eyed monsters and hunted as well. The different regions hold different types of giants. The frigid north is home to the mighty blue-skinned frost giants. The oldest subspecies of the towering creatures are the ancient ones; who take refuge in the old ruins of the Charmsand. The plain giants are peaceful and wander the Great Plateau searching for trees and wild cattle to eat. The monstrous cyclops have one eye and wander the different realms of Galfin, mostly terrorizing the mountains and the countryside. Giants have an incredibly long lifespan, but even the gargantuan beasts cannot survive raids from an entire village.   The humans maintain the largest population in Galfin. The dharans are the strongest race of humans; they worship the god Dhara and live mostly in Skygarde and the Great Plateau. The daijin are a race of hunters living in the Vargen Swamplands; they use swamp gas powered weapons and vehicles. The mighty yergralffe live in the northern Snowpeak; they do not allow interlopers onto their land. The Ownedu warriors of the Wasteland are very underdeveloped but have learned to survive from fighting with the aggressive orcs. The sandstriders live in the Charmsand Desert; next to the dharans of Skygarde, the sandstriders of the Hierarch have the most powerful empire in Galfin.   Lycanthropes are a powerful race who can disguise themselves as human and transform into ferocious beasts. The easist way to tell if a human is actually a werewolf.   in disguise, its eyes will be black orbs instead of an iris. The greatest gathering of lycans is the Fenris Tribe; a group of powerful lycanthropes living in the Mooncrest Woods. Lycanthropes can change between form at will.
