Kerri

Kerri, the sunlit homeland of the Kerrian High Elves, lies within The Incantum Forest yet stands apart in its essence and ambition. The province is known for its golden-leafed trees and its harmonious blend of natural beauty and gaulan-inspired architecture. The settlements of Kerri reflect the influence of man, with grand stone halls, towering spires, and intricate designs that echo their craftsmanship. Unlike their elven cousins, the Kerrians have embraced the customs, food, and traditions of the Gaulans, reshaping their identity over centuries of trade and collaboration.   The Kerrian High Elves, once deeply attuned to nature, have gradually distanced themselves from their ancestral roots. Their connection to innate magic has waned as they adopted the disciplined practices of written spellcasting, taught by gaul mages. This evolution has made them formidable scholars and practitioners of learned magic, with many Kerrian spellcasters rivaling the most skilled wizards of the Spellstrung College. Their pursuit of knowledge and mastery of arcane arts defines their culture, with libraries, academies, and magical workshops scattered across the province.   Under the leadership of Archmage Hamon and the Kerrian Magocracy, Kerri thrives as a hub of learning and trade. Towns like Alkane and Eythemar bustle with merchants and scholars, while the quiet glades of Stewartia house ancient elven shrines, now adapted for scholarly meditation. The Dreamscent Bush, Illuminous Fern, and Shadowthorn flourish in the region, reminders of the natural heritage that still lingers despite the Kerrians’ shift toward modernity.   Though some elves mourn the loss of their ancient ways, most Kerrians embrace their unique blend of tradition and innovation, carving out a path that bridges the wisdom of the past with the possibilities of the future.
