The Firefang Jags

The Firefang Jags is a mountain range, characterized by its jagged peaks and molten lava. It is a place of great natural beauty and raw, untamed power, ruled by the Cinderlord, a powerful and respected figure who is a master of fire magic. The people of the Firefang Jags are a hardy and resilient bunch, accustomed to the dangers of living so close to the fiery heart of the world. They have learned to harness the power of the volcanoes, using the heat and molten rock to forge weapons and tools of unparalleled strength.   The Runic Totem is a sacred and revered landmark in the Firefang Jags, a pyramid-shaped stone of obsidian that stands in the middle of a lake of lava. It is etched with ancient runes that hold the secrets of harnessing the power of the volcanoes, and it is a place of great spiritual and cultural significance for the people of the mountain range.   The homes in the Firefang Jags are built to withstand the harsh and volatile environment, with many being carved into the rocky cliffs or constructed from sturdy materials like obsidian or slate. The people of the mountain range are resourceful and innovative, finding ways to thrive in even the most challenging of environments.   The Cinderlord is a respected and revered figure in the Firefang Jags, ruling over the mountain range with wisdom and justice. The position is not hereditary, and anyone who believes they have what it takes to lead the people of the mountain range can undergo the test to become the Cinderlord. This test involves battling the great Ashstorm Hydra, a multi-headed beast made of flame and rock. If the candidate can make the beast yield and bow, they are given the seal of approval to one day take up the mantle of Cinderlord.       Houses in caves.   Rune Wall is a main feature   Large cave leads to inner volcano where Ashtorm Hydra slumbers.   Cinderlord leads fire elves, no one goes through the Jags without a fire elf scout on them.   Gaulans of Galfin fear aelves because of the 1000 years of slavery but most forget that the Onyx Elves enslaved their lesser elf brethren as well.   Dirty lightning is all too common for the people of the Jags.   The elves once ruled Galfin until the human slaves rebelled. After the humans fought the ancient elves back from control, the elemental races splintered. The different ethnicities of elves went their separate ways. The hot tempered fire elves hid away in the Firefang Jags, The swift wood elves took refuge in the forests of Incantum, the dark elves sailed to Dynastes, the nymphaelves were not part of the slavery as they maintained their underwater domain, the frost elves moved to Snowpeak and the terra elves burrowed into the Underdirt.   Now millennia has passed and the elves still remain where the human pushed them to long ago. The elves have gotten used to their new surroundings and no longer wish to quarrel with humans. Nowadays the humans seem more scared of the elves, not due to the tyranny they endured millennia ago, but because of the mystery that is the elven race. Elves and humans eased some of their tensions during the event known as the Fracturing Wars. A military conflict that saw the end to 555 years of peace after the 6 Heroes of Man claimed their new kingdoms.   Fire elves come in three types that can change as they age, Ignited elves are orange skinned and mostly stay this way if someone is an adept fire user, this is the most common type of elf as all but a few cases are born as Ignited elves. Fire elves can eventually burn out and become Basalt Elves, these are elves who have had their fire burnt out, their skin turns to black crust with small orange cracks where wrinkles would be. They still have some fire manipulation but the power they had has diminished. A third rare version of a fire elf that maintains their power when they burnt out but are actually more powerful, these are the Volcanic Elves, powerful pyromancers that have great flame skills maintain their power when they become Basalt, the largest risk is that a Volcanic elf needs to limit their power usage or they run the risk of erupting and dying in a glorious explosion.   The architecture of the Firefang Jags can be characterized by strong, durable materials and a focus on functionality and practicality. The homes and buildings in the area are able to withstand the extreme heat and ash of the volcanoes, and they would be built with materials such as obsidian and slate, which are able to withstand these harsh conditions. The buildings in the Firefang Jags are bdesigned with a focus on functionality, with a emphasis on providing shelter and protection from the elements.
