Virdishka
Virdishka is a small druidic town located in the east of Elderan, situated within the Elderna Woodlands, and on the banks of the Elderna River. Virdishka has a high population of Firbolg and Wood Elves.
The people of Virdishka are members of the Eternal Grove, with it's population protecting and nurturing the nearby environment. Virdishka is also positioned nearby the Dun'Voli town of Vanheim, facilitating communication, partnership, and trade between the Eternal Grove and the Kingdom of Dun'Vol. The people of Virdishka supply Vanheim with unique resources, only available to the settlements of the Eternal Grove, in exchange for the Eternal Grove being able to police the Kingdom of Dun'Vol's impact on the Elderna Woodlands, such as restricting it's ability to expand it's borders, or cut down trees, as to limit environmental impact. Many of the residents of Vanheim resent this agreement.
Virdishka is more of a local community hub than a town, with most of Virdishka's population living spread out across the Elderna Woodlands, in private, natural domiciles, and visiting Virdishka to socialise or trade.
Government
Virdishka is governed by a council of Archdruids, usually village elders, who oversee the management of the town, as well as leading all the religious ceremonies and rituals.
Defence
Virdishka is defended by a force of Grovewardens, the warrior protectors of the Elderna Woodlands, as well as it's population of hunters and Druidic Spellcasters.
Commerce
Virdishka trades resources and equipment with the other settlements within the Eternal Grove, but for the most part all of the village's equipment and produce either grown or created locally.
Virdishka also trades it's rare resources and unique craftsmanship to the people of Vanheim.
Geography
Virdishka is located deep within the Elderna Woodlands, and on the banks of the Elderna River, situate a few miles upstream of the town of Vanheim.
The town of Virdishka is a collection of simple, wooden huts, spread out across the woodland, many of the buildings are Magically grown from the surrounding trees, and a few are even built atop wooden stilts on the riverfront. A large, beautiful and exotic garden, at the heart of town, acts as a community centre where the villagers hold events, as well as religious ceremonies and rituals.
