Isilrhûd
Isilrhûd is a large trade town located in the east of Elderan, situated on the western banks of the Rhun River, and south of the Grey Muirs.
Isilrhûd is under the jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Lorth'elon, and is the main naval trade port for the kingdom, making it a nexus for businesses, being filled with numerous shops, taverns, inns and other amenities. Almost all trade between the Kingdom of Lorth'elon and the Kingdom of Dun'Vol passes through Isilrhûd, as most of the trade in Elderan travels up and down the Rhun River , with traders and travellers consistently passing through Isilrhûd.
Government
Isilrhûd is governed by a Prefect, who is appointed by the Kingdom of Lorth'elon.
Defence
Isilrhûd is defended by a garrison of Silver Hand, the local guard of the Kingdom of Lorth'elon.
A small fleet of warships, the Lorth'elon navy, are also sometimes docked at Isilrhûd.
Commerce
Isilrhûd is the primary port of the Kingdom of Lorth'elon, with a continuous flow of goods passing through it's harbour. Isilrhûd is a nexus for almost all trade travelling between the Kingdom of Lorth'elon and the Kingdom of Dun'Vol, connecting Vir'thelgos and the other settlements in western Elderan to the rest of the world.
Many businesses can be found in Isilrhûd, with it's walls being filled with numerous shops, taverns, inns and other amenities, which cater to the constant stream of traders and travellers that pass through the town. Most of any goods or services can be found within the city walls.
Isilrhûd also has a large fishing trade, being the main supplier of fish in the Kingdom of Lorth'elon, as well as having a small agricultural trade of crops and animal products, cultivated from the surrounding farmland.
Geography
Isilrhûd is located on the western banks of the Rhun River, and south of the Grey Muirs.
The town is a collection of mostly stone buildings, with residential buildings being located on the outer parts of town, while the centre of town is reserved for shops, businesses, and the central market, which surrounds the town plaza.
The east of town is taken up by a large, prominent harbour, which is separated from the rest of town by a fortified stone wall. The harbour itself has it's own businesses, from taverns and inns marketed to sailors, to local fishmongers, with the town's numerous docks moored with a range of fishing vessels, trade ships and the occasional warship.
The lands surrounding Isilrhûd, particularly to the west of town, are dotted with farmland, which cultivate both crops and animals.
