Karalkul
Karalkul is a small, subterranean, mining town, located in central Elderan, at the eastern base of the Mintaurath Range mountains. A high number of the town's population are Dwarves.
Karalkul is under the jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Dun'Vol, and has a sizable mining operation beneath the Mintaurath Range. Karalkul is also located at the mouth of Mintaurath Path, a tunnel and road that travels straight through the Mintaurath Range, connecting the isolated village of Yahn'var to the Dun'Vol trade network.
Government
Karalkul is governed by a Burgomaster, who is appointed by the Kingdom of Dun'Vol.
Defence
Karalkul is defended by a garrison of Stonewatch, the local guard of the Kingdom of Dun'Vol.
Commerce
Karalkul also has a mining operation that delves beneath the Mintaurath Range mountains, procuring a wealth of ores, gems and other minerals that are sold along the trade network.
Karalkul also has a few farmstead on the town's outskirts, that produce crops and animal products.
Geography
Karalkul is primarily located underground, beneath the Mintaurath Range, built within an excavated cavern, with a large, stone door set between the town and the surface.
The town itself if a mixture of stone buildings, some located in the centre of town, and other's carved into the cavern walls, with numerous tunnels that spider out from the town in all directions, dealving deeper into the mountains. The lands upon the surface, on the outskirts of Karalkul, are also dotted with farmsteads, which are used for crops and livestock.
