Nénsûl

Nénsûl is a small druidic village located in the north of Elderan, situated both within the Elderna Woodlands, and on the banks of the Nénsûl River, which feeds into the Rhun Loch. Nénsûl has a majority population of Firbolg and Wood Elves.

The people of Nénsûl are members of the Eternal Grove, with it's population protecting and nurturing the nearby environment. Fishing vessels are warned about fishing nearby the waters of Nénsûl, as the villagers are easily upset by disturbances to the natural order. But outside of that, the people of Nénsûl are friendly to outsiders, and have been known to supply passing ships with food and fresh water when they are struggling.

Nénsûl is more of a local community hub than a town, with most of Nénsûl's population living spread out across the Elderna Woodlands, in private, natural domiciles, and visiting Nénsûl to socialise or trade.

Government

Nénsûl is governed by a council of Archdruids, usually village elders, who oversee the management of the village, as well as leading all the religious ceremonies and rituals.

Defence

Nénsûl is defended by a force of Grovewardens, the warrior protectors of the Elderna Woodlands, as well as it's population of hunters and Druidic Spellcasters.

Commerce

Nénsûl trades resources and equipment with the other settlements within the Eternal Grove, but for the most part all of the village's equipment and produce either grown or created locally, with Nénsûl being almost completely self-sufficient.

While an uncommon, the people of Nénsûl has also been known to do trade with passing ships, offering supplies of fruits and nuts to struggling crew, often in exchange for nothing.

Geography

Nénsûl is located within the western reaches of the Elderna Woodlands, on the banks of the Nénsûl River and to the east of the Rhun Loch.

The village is a collection of simple, wooden huts, spread out across the woodland, many of the buildings are Magically grown from the surrounding trees, and a few are even built atop wooden stilts on the riverfront. A large hut, built around the base of a large tree, acts as a community centre where the villagers hold events, as well as religious ceremonies and rituals.
