The River Kingdoms
The River Kingdoms is a federation of thirteen states ruled over by a High King and collectively a single client state of The Third Empire of Evermore.
The Kingdoms
Riverpass
Longtime seat of power in the Kingdoms, Riverpass is home to the highest population in the region. Silt deposits left by the bordering rivers provide Riverpass with an abundance of farmland and an abundance of crops. Riverpass alone lends the Kingdoms it's nickname, the Breadbasket. This fertile soil is also the reason behind the naming of Bounty, capital city of the Kingdoms.Lainland
Positioned closest to populated regions of Emberek Rai, Lainland produces more soldiers than any of the other Kingdoms. Riverlander Legionnaires are sometimes referred to as "Lainlanders" due to this.Netaris
Netaris is the last stronghold of the Rivaen, or River Elves. Those that choose to live in Netaris stick strongly to their ancient traditions, only keeping a King to appease the rest of the Kingdoms. The smallest of the River Kingdoms, Netaris is a large forested island, and remains the last good source of wood in all the Kingdoms.Karendal
Sometimes called "The True Kingdom" by outside nobility, Karendal is the only one of the Kingdoms not to practice The Rite of Landing. Karendal is famed for it's abundance of livestock, especially sheep. Enchanted breeds of sheep produce fine wool sold all across the continent, sometimes called Shepherd's Silk.Turnbull Country
Turnbull Country was once a part of Themptor until a bloody uprising led by a bandit chief secured it's independence. As such, it is referred to as "The Bandit Kingdom" and it's inhabitants take pride in that nickname. The people of Turnbull are famed for their fighting spirit and quick tempers. Turnbull Country has one of the strangest exports in all the Kingdoms- the training and sale of personal guards for high nobility. In addition to this, it produces a significant portion of the beef sold across the entire Empire.Themptor
