Black Hand Clan
The Black Hand are a Clan of Olona that are extensively secretive and known for practicing magic. They are not as large as the White Hand, but also keep their true numbers hidden. The Black Hand are banned from Olona functions unless specifically invited.
Structure
The Black Hand are led by an elected leader that serves for twelve years before new elections are held. Black Hand are encouraged to pursue their own interests without the oversight or aid of Clan leadership. Every year, the Black Hand come together to show their progress.
Culture
The Black Hand embrace inclusivity and freedom to explore. They ban nothing short of the killing of another Black Hand. They are made up of Orcs that have been banished by other Clans, especially the White Hand, and to the chagrin of other Olona practice "rebirth", the process of unbanishing someone by adopting them into a new Clan. Because most Black Hand come from different Clans and backgrounds, they have very little in terms of shared culture outside of normal Olona practices and their constant encouragement of one another and their individual goals.
Public Agenda
To explore anything and spite the White Hand.
Assets
The Black Hand are purveyors of plants that can be turned into poisons. They most frequently trade with the Onirgrundi, as they live on that border. The Black Hand do not amass shared wealth beyond what is needed for Clan upkeep and taxes, each Orc's profits are their own.
History
The Black Hand broke ties with the White Hand over disputes over the White Hand's strict rules. The Black Hand faction gained enough support that they were able to break off and form their own Clan. Once settled on the border of Onirgrundi territory, the Black Hand swiftly began practicing their own formerly restricted magic and seeking out other exiles to adopt into their fold. A majority of exiles still choose to go to Oracara and Giving Town over membership in the Black Hand.
