The Imperial Arena Association

Structure

The IAA is overseen by the Imperial Council for Entertainment and Leisure from the Empire's capital of Triumph. This Council designates a subcomittee to organize the inter-city matches. Rules are as follows:   All arenas are registered with the IAA. A “team” consists of eight individuals to participate in matches against other teams. All other Arena activity is at the discretion of the owners and local ordinance. The Imperial League Arenas are those that won the regional championships in the last season. Imperial League teams are made up of the top 8 fighters in an arena, and matches are one on one up a ladder. The team with the most victories wins. The championships are always held in Triumph, with the victors getting to dine with the King. Regional League teams compete in a bracket to determine which of them will represent their region in the Imperial League. For this reason, no team ever competes in the Imperial League two years in a row. There is no set number of regional teams allowed. The IAA does not oversee so-called “sub-regional” matches to determine the makeup of a regional bracket. - IAA guidelines as published by the ICEL.

Public Agenda

To provide the best entertainment possible to the masses.

History

The IAA is almost as old as the Empire itself, being founded in the year 103 and several Arenas being built by the Imperial government to distract the masses from a series of unpopular decisions.
