Costae Islands
Földrajz
The islands can be divided into well-defined archipelagos: each one is named after some elemental or physical feature.
- The fire islands are inhabited by creatures of the Elemental plane of Fire, who have been torn into this world and many beasts attracted to the element of fire. These islands are typically inactive or active volcanoes.
- Air islands are floating mounds of rock and earth, or cloud islands. Some also migrate. Inhabitants of the Elemental plane of Air and other creatures accustomed to the conditions live here.
- Nature islands are fertile pieces of land covered with lush, green forest. Fairies are common and, unsurprisingly, inhabited by certain creatures of the Elemental plane of Nature.
- The reefs are narrow sandbanks and sharp rocks, with inhabitants of the Elemental plane of Water settled here in the depths.
- There are also the sand islands, which are desert, barren pieces of land; the steel islands, with their deep coal and iron mines, and who knows what else...
Történelem
The - in common language - Ribs Islands got their name from the fact that they were formed on the remains of the body of the divine dragon, Gyndrian, who found his final resting place on Evera.
According to some, the land of Evera was created by the Dragon Goddess, to her faithful companion, as the final resting place of a divine dragon before the beginning of the world's time. At first the world was inhabited only by dragons and gods, the latter eventually populated the area according to their will.
In the archipelago, many creatures could live undisturbed even when the deities on the two great continents rose up to fight each other. In the first dragon war, some of the dragons fled the islands, others were captured.

I like how you tied the different islands into elements (and that they're not quite the traditional four!), as well as the backstory of how they came to be. I noticed your note on your world homepage that you are working on making your world bilingual. Good luck! (You seem to be doing a great job so far.)
Thank You! My original Dragon world (from 2005-2006) had seven "elemental power", and I kept that original system, when I lined out Evera's outer planes and magic. I'm glad you liked the idea! About the translation: I realized that the built-in translators don't handle my native language very well, so this seemed like the most logical step. Thank you for following the process!
