Valena Mountains

The Valena Mountains are the western border mountains of the Mogeth Plateau, cutting across the continent of Utea from the southern coast of the Blackwater to the northern. It received the name Valena from the Elves, in Evera's First Era.
This mass of stone, extremely rich in raw materials, rose when Jomril tamed the icy winds from the east and formed the plateau and the area now known as the desert of Ganu.
Three folks live next to the mountain range. In the depths of the plateau, many cities belong to the Dwarven empire, the Mighty Kingdom of Mogeth. To the north, the Valley of the Narmiron elves borders the area, and the Magaron tribe lives closest to their neighbors to the east. Further south is Vasanna, the kingdom of the Humans, who call the foothills of Valena the Rim Mountains and the Barehills, since not much grows on the bare rocks of the latter.
The Valena Mountains play an important economic and political role in the lives of the continent. Its raw materials are used by all three people, and they take great care not to accidentally stray into the other's territory in the process.
The work of open mines in the Vasanna borderlands is often controlled by dwarven clan-inspectors. The County of Deran, centered in Ironkeep, is one of the important organizations in the mining industry. In the second half of the Fourth Era, the Counties of Albinus and Pendragon also gained significant income thanks to their cooperation with Mogeth.
For Mogeth, the most significant city is Tugrafru, which is also referred to as the Western Gate of the kingdom. This is where the largest international trade by land takes place.
