Joseph hallsberg 2nd looked at this and saw a threat a strong frank meant that the scales would be tipped out of balance and there power wouldn't go well for his nation so he introduced higher tariffs on franks good. joachim saw this as a slight and just stopped trading with the verainberg empire. Joseph then moved troops to the boarder and requested land on the duchy of Szlski Frankish boarder. he asked if the boarder would be moved to the bank of the roon river. joachim saw this as another slight and appealed to other powers. he traveled first to Mohammabad asking sultan emperor Ahmed 1st. the week willed emperor didn't want war and was easily swayed by his wife sultan empress Catherine hallsberg. he then turned the northern isle beginning the to sanction of some kind or threatening them. the king hans 4th and co king Harold 2nd. they refused him. he sent letters to the republic of san antonia they said they would help him but on the condition that there banks have control of the country's debts. he was also to marry the presidents daughter Margret vatican. he knew it would tie him to the republic trading one master for another. joachim then turned and had a meting with his family. over the first year of the reign the long neglected army was modernized along with the navy and it was a professional and well trained force. he looked to other allies. he traveled to the mountains and asked several chief of the Antroians he was able to recruit 7000 men. he made an ally in the house haysyrax he said that if there bank and mercenary helped him he would marry telexa haysyrax 2 years younger than him. he agreed and within a week of the agree meant the two were married. the day after the wedding a letter was sent to the king demanding the lands. this was the finally straw and he readied the army

Deployment

the main body of the Frankish some 200000 men including the musketeers of the guard were contrasted on pushing into the duchy of slzksi ready to push to the duchy capital.   joachims 24 year old brother napoleon was with 100000 men poised to invade the lorddom of mortjzia   joachims father in law Hegor Haysyrax commanded a holding force on the boarder of the lands of the crown with the 22 year old Louis was a member of his staff   joachims uncle Henry duke of leyion commanded the reserves of the royal army with his nephew the king youngest brother the 19 anderi was a major general.   the fleet was poised to strike at the imperial fleet anchored in hells-landing.   the only full mobilized force was in duchy of Szlski where baron Casimir kelenski 30000 strong army poised to annex the lands Joseph wanted. small garrisons were along the boarder but these were small.

The Engagement

opening moves in the north-as winter 312YBCW passed and 311YBCW came to be joachim lead his army across the boarder and wiped out Casimir army. he then proceeded north destroying army after army. the young king drove north and stopped at the free city krakow . there he met the perfect women to solidify an alliance. the 23 year old lady Katharine. know as kat to her friends and family she was a beautiful women. he sent world to his brother napoleon that he could give him his own thrown. he courted her and told her of his younger brother and she saw it as a good way to solidify her power. after a forced march napoleon arrived just as his brother was going to continue north to the capital. napoleon was star struck when he saw the young noble lady and the two were married that night. that same night joachim was told his wife telexa was pregnant . as his campaign gathered more steam he lay siege to the capital and within three days he sacked the viceroys palace. he found the eagle sword and asked his brother to the capital his brother napoleon and his new wife Kathrine came two days later and joachim ordered that all the barons come to the capital. three days later 17 barons and lords where present. joachim proclaimed that his brother was to become napoleon 1st claiming he had the right as they were half szlski through there mother. none dared decline him and the first kingdom of szlski was proclaimed. in the first 4 months of the campaign joachim had destroyed and removed a power part of the empire.   opening moves of the southern campaign-The southern campaign began a week after the joachims invasion. for the first month napoleon lead the invasion crushing the small forces of the lorrdom of mortijza. after that months he was called north and commanded was given to his brother in law mengar haysyrax taking 2000 haysyrax troops who continued to drive into the lorrdom. Slobodan peternovic gathered a host of 50000 men and tried to stop the invasion. in the battle of milosgrad slobadan army was able to check the advance but was forced to retreat. the 30 year old lord lost his brother and all his cousins in the battle and his army was shattered. megars forces as well were baldly battered but were able to continue there march seizing the castle of the ancient yet impoverished house of milos capture all of the family. heavy rains stopped the advance and mengars army was forced to stop it would be a full month until they were able to march and in that time prince Louis arrived with 14000 men from the reserves and brought transport to take the wounded men home or at least to safe quarters. then louis met anka milos the 17 year old daughter of count Milan. he was so bewitched by the young girl that the prince asked her to marry him. this was left unknown to the king and when he found out that his brother had married without his permission he was first incandescent with rage so angry that his brother had made such a foolish error. but then he looked at the match. the family despite being penniless was well know and respected by all of the other houses and shortly after he had crowned Napoleon king of szlski he sent word to his know married brother that he would give him a kingdom. shortly after that mengar moved crossing the Razdag river (named after an ork champion) this time however they were met with the verainberg imperial army. the two army's met just south of a village called piet.   battle of piet-mengar readied his army. he organised his haysyrax mercenary in the center. in-front of them were his light infantry. the left wing commanded by general sannsier comprised of all Frankish units battle hardened by the campaign. on the right wing louis was given command and controlled a force of mostly franks but with a core of mercenary as well mostly heavy infantry. his wife the lady anka was with him and with her came some 3000 mortijzan troops who flocked to the banner of her father. she as well had a hidden gift. she was a magic sensitive and would play and important role in the battle. the verainberg forces. commanded by the aged prince felix von bulow commanded a force of some 60000 men. mengar would make the opening move letting lose of of his artillery. he then ordered forward his own brother Anko forward with 2000 cavalry smashing into the flank of the enemy left wing. this was countered by prince Felix with his own cavalry much heavier and with better training. mengar then ordered a retreat. he then ordered the 3 divisions of his left wing into the fight to capture the small farm house at the center of the line. this was countered by 10000 men of Felix left wing. this massive force was marching over boggy ground and churned up the land. artillery shredded the ranks of the verainberg troops forcing them to retreat before reaching the farm. with his left secured mengar ordered his army to make an all out attack. this broke the verainberg army and the routed. by there was one last surprise for them. using her magic anka was able to raise the pieta river and make it a fearsome torrent preventing them to flee the battle filed and the army was utterly destroyed. after the battle mengar ordered all of the mortijzan lords to piet and there he ordered them to lay at there feet and mengar proclaimed Louis 1st king of mortijza. general sannsier was made a prince and promoted to the first marshal of army.   joachim's 311YBCW campaign in the lands of the crown-joachims invasion of the crownlands began with the sacking of hells-landing where the Frankish navy sank the fleet and then landed a force of marines which in turn sacked the city and allowed for 13000 troops of general Hugo le tressa to establish a beach head and march south to link up with there king. joachim march with his army straight for the impiral capital. several forces were put together to stop them. in his palace emperor Joseph looked on in fear this new force was destroying his empire. it was his turn to ask for help but his allies called. the tsar sent an army but it would take time to arrive. he wrote letters to the republic of san antonia and to the northern isle kingdom the northern isle looking at the situation and the threat of a new naval power agreed to help there long time enemy. the president of the the republic of san antonia gave an ultimatum.
your imperial majesty. we are safe from your war safe on the other side of the great ocean. for what reason should we send help. but if you were to marry your son to my daughter then the republic would have to fight on the side of the new crown Kaiserin. so my offer is that. we will send   45000 men   20 ships   300 million cartonas   7 million rifles   300000 sabers   1 million confirms   200 cannons   I look forward to your reply   yours sincerely president Giovanni vatican
Joseph hard already arrange the marriage of his 17 year old son to maria hallsberg of the hallsbergs of zherik. he annulled the marriage and wrote back to the president agreeing to the alliance. mean while joachim had marched south east cutting the north of the country from the south effectively removing access to the sea for the capital. this meant that imperial forces in the north couldn't help the capital. so Joseph decided to fight back. in order to mount a counter attack he drew all the forces he could and converged them at the capital. all that was left was the bear bone basic to hold the lines. he sent word to his allies in the northern isle who were beginning to land forces at the mouth of The river of kings. as they began to march south however general hugos 25000 men was able to hold them. Joseph convened his best generals. they all agreed that it was know or never to strike. to Josephs army of some 130000 men with 500 guns drove north in a forced march. joachim knowing that his flank was exposed decided to take 20000 of his best troops and turned around and wanted to link up with the new royal szlski army under his brother. summer thunder storms impeded movement for both forces. in the mean time the daughter of the san antionan president had arrived in the capital and the preparation for the wedding were made. the pause in fighting through the summer allowed for joachim to link up with his brother king napoleon 1st and his 17000 men which including some 2000 szlski cavalry men. the two forces met at the battle of vensadorf.   battle of vensadorf-the village of vensadorf is located along the southern Road to the imperial capital. the village itself was located on a rise. joachims smaller army arrived and took the rise as it was the better position. his smaller army however couldn't hold the entire position and his flanks were weak. he organised his gun in the center of his lines. 2 days later the verainberg army arrived and set up on a concave bow in order to surround joachim. Josephs over confident commanders saw that joachims army was unable to hold all of its position and could be cut up and the war ended. but many commanders were also wary as many banners could be seen. this indecisiveness allowed joachim to attack and his artillery and it tore bloody holes in the lines. Joseph the official commander in chief ordered the army to attack and the organised verainberg forces charged at the enemy. joachim then ordered a organised retreat from the village. this seemed like a great victory but a day after while the emperor and his generals were in the village explosions went off killing thousands of men including half of the army's general. the emperors lost his left arm and the sight in his left eye. then 4000 cavalry men fell up the camps of the verainberg army causing chaos and braking large amounts of the army. Joseph was taken to the imperial estate to rest and heal. a regency council would be formed with the 17 year old crown kaiser was part of it.   end of the year-with the end of the year as the summer turned to autumn all remained verainberg troops retreated. Joseph the crown kaiser technically within he majority ordered the court to moved to telta and the imperial army to mach a full with draw. the only loyalist force to stay was lead by the 32 year old peter korei (born 343YBCW) and his army of the frontier. and then two coronations took place on the last day of winter . in the impiral capital Joachim was declared joachim 1st emperor of the franks. the second was that hegor haysyrax was crowned Emperor of verianberg Hegor haysysrax 1st. present was all the mens wives and family. joachims brother Louis Le Bonaparte 1st and Napoleon 1st were both there as well. the political climate was changing.   310YBCW   on the 14th of February empress Telexa Haysyrax gave birth to his first child who she named joachim. the emperor was elated with joy with the birth of his son. however he was still at war. he was organizing his forces bringing up his uncles reserves and brought his youngest brother Andrei to the front. he gathered his brothers the new kings Napoleon Le Bonaparte 1st and Louis Le Bonaparte 1st army and prepared a front line. Emperor hegor prepared his army. 20000 magaran prisoners joined his new imperial army but only some 3000 verainbergurs and germincs joined. in telta the grand collation between crown kaiser Joseph regent for his father, his father in law president Giovanni vatican (who had brought his army of some 45000 men), king hans 4th and co king Harold 2nd had brought there own army of some 40000 men and tsar ivan 7th had arrived in force with 150000 men. the crown kaiser started to gather more troops from magara and what men retreated with him.   the winter of 310YBCW had seen little fighting only peter korei 1st had harassed king Louis 1st army as he marched to link up with his brother.   as the winter melted away joachims army marched stealthily east. as he marched west the period know as the reign of the three queens began with empress telexa, queen anka and queen Katherine were left as head administrators in there country. the war began with an all out invasion of the southern empire. king louis and joachims brother in law mengar lead troops into the frontier kingdom and what was left of the crownlands. the general governor of bron Fredrick von keller and effective governor of what was left of the crownlands loyal to Josephs 2nd put the military machine of the empire into action recruiting all boys at the age of 14 and men to the age of 60. he was able to gather a force of some 43000 men. he moved this army and linked up with peter korei in the boarder town of zorbova in the frontier kingdom. there combined force was around 70000 men with 400 cannons. louis army of mortijza had some 20000 men and mengars army was 50000 men. mengar planned on pinning the frontier forces in place in the north forcing them to march south where they would fall into the jaws of Louis army who had occupied a fortress just south. von keller suggested moving east into the frontier kingdom heart land and use the forest to there advantage. peter disagreed. a far more agreed and wanted to give battle. the two commanders then split there force. von keller march east and then attempted to march north into walchindorf where the vampire count Herman von drak and forces had declared for the emperor.   the flight of ravens
it was like watching ravens fly away from the sound of a branch cracking   sergeant Hugo de gaulle 7th infantry regiment
June 13th peters army had met mengar's army of some 50000 men. peter decided to use the wood to his advantage hiding part of his force in the forest . he lead the force he deployed in the open. mengar held he massive cavalry force back and set up to batteries on the flanks with his infantry deployed in blocks in order to intimidate the enemy. peter was not frightened and ordered his guns to open fire taring chunks out of the blocks of Frankish troops. but mengar didn't move. a rider soon arrived in mengars camp. it was from king Louis. his force was a day march away. it had been able to hid itself in the country side and the villages. mengar then just needed to hold. peter however wasn't willing. he ordered his infantry to charge at the massive blocks of franks. they charged smashing into the ranks of franks. the frontier cavalry also charged at the guns. despite taking heavy calculates they smashed into the franks. a bloody melee began and the frontier infantry taring apart the enemy. but then the heavy Frankish cavalry swung round the left flank and cut off the frontier army. but then peter played his trump card his infantry emerged from the forest and began attacking the franks. menger cut the back of his blocks of his force and moved it back so to better use there rifles. as the sky turned dark both army retreated back to there start lines but night raids by Frankish cavalry picked off stranglers. new day came about Louis army could be seen behind peter. peter moved his artillery and cavalry to the rear and ordered his general to tell there men to fight there way out as he turned on his horse to help his cavalry. the resulting in the destruction of the frontier army. peter and half of the nobles of the frontier present were captured along with 20000 men. 10000 frontier men lay dead 3000 wounded while 13000 men escaped. mengar was made a count and promoted.   von kellers death march and joachims campaign   von keller moved north with his force of old men boys and what ever units could be scratched together. they marched close to the seterchan frontier where believing that they were frontiers men the seterchan army attacked them. all along the frontier this happened. the army lost 10000 men dead and wounded before the y left the frontier by the start of summer.   joachims while his brother and brother in law preventive von keller and peters forces from moving against him decided to take out herman von draks forces in walchindorf. he left his uncle the duke of lyion and his other two brothers to guard his north. while he took his army of some 250000 men to the mountains of walchindrof. he took his antarion mercenary's men use to the mountains. he started his campaign as spring ended. at the same time his brother was told he had a son who napoleon named john. joachims army was fist attack June 18th then a scouting party was attacked by 700 troops. that night joachims camp was attacked by screaming animals which were later identified as Grashi. Joachim pushed on through the raids. but the trial of war was taking its tole. men were dropping dead from illness and the lack of medical care. herman however wasn't able to hold however as his army of 25000 men. he had some 700 Grashi and his troops were using the mountains and forests. but joachim forced herman into the blackfire filed. the 2nd battle of black fire filed saw the vampire defeated with the vampire-imperial forces crushed utterly forcing a retreat. after which the ancient seat of the kings of shade and shadow was sacked for the second time (the first being in The war of Men and the 'Old' races). joachim the set his army to rest after a successful campaign. this put the Frankish forces dangerously close to the telta. the council of regents argued about what to do. the high priest of the old religion lead the peace party and president vatican argued for action. his forces had been stalling the advance of king napoleon and emperor Hegor. the young Crown Kaiser Joseph however had sided with the peace party and asked for a cease fire. the terms were sent to emperor joachim. and he agreed.   the half year peace   armistice of Fredericksberg was signed September 26th. it was signed between the grand collation and the new Frankish empire and it clients. it read
-on this day there will be an immediate cessation of violence   -all prisoner who have not switched sides will be allowed to return home or go and join there respected army   -the verianberg empire will accept the existence of the new Frankish empire and her clients the kingdom of szlski and the kingdom of mortijza.   -the armistice boarder shall be on the current conquest of the Frankish empire
this was hard for the grand collation to swallow and the recovering emperor Joseph 2nd almost refused to sign it but it wasn't up to him it was up to the peace part and his son Joseph. as the early winter snows began to fall joachim know 26 march with his brother hadn't his triumphant army through the streets of versongetia. flowers were thrown at him and his men. for the first time he saw his son who was know 7 months old. he hosted a great feast with all his family his brothers and there queens including Napoleons son john. joachims brother in laws mengar and his father in law Hegor Haysyrax 1st were all there. the same was not in telta. Joseph 2nd and his son the crown prince argued at the fact that they had surrendered to a second rate power. the crown prince however who was made regent of magara had the support of most of the alliance and they spent time prepare there re conquest of there empire. the re election of Giovanni allowed him to order the fleet to brentinberg along with 40000 more troops. king hans ordered his fleet to charleshdt and the crown prince had ordered the construction of more troops. tsar ivan over saw the re building of the army and over saw 60000 more troops from the tsardoms. however the winter was a harsh one and many troops died marching over.   Joachim used the peace to rebuild his army but also advance his new empire introducing better reforms which gave more rights to farmers and removed the ability for land owners for making people bondage servants. his brother Louis and napoleon did the same. in February the crown prince joachim had his fist birthday. through the land there was jubilation. the emperor proclaimed that that day was a national holiday. when spring came around the rain came in force. the Roon, dravanan and the river of king durst there banks. many other rivers burst there banks that spring and flooded the land. it ruined crops and hundreds drowned and as the last rains of march passed war began again.   war in 309YBCW   war restarted when san antiona vessel were spotted in the screaming sea east of the isle of giants joachim ordered the fleet into the screaming sea. his northern holdings in the lands which made up heligoland was attacks by northern isle troops and ships. joachim responded by raising his army and marching east. his brother mobilized there army as well. hegors land had already been invaded but his army was to small and he retreated. Andrei (who know called himself Revek a wession name) was surrounded in the fortress of kunisdorf with 10000 men. the crown prince Joseph himself was laying siege to the fortress. Joachim marched east through the germinc an verainbueger provinces of the western verianberg empire and arrived in the impiral capital mid may. his army was 150000 men with some 2000 guns. his brother Louis had 100000 men with half the force being recruited from mortijza and napoleons army had some 170000 men with 70000 men being from szlski. Joachim linked up with his father in law force which was a mix of recruited troops haysyrax mercenary and former prisoners. in the imperial capital joachim planed his invasion. napoleon would secure his northern flank and the coast. Louis would drive north linking up with scattered garrisons in the south of the empire. joachim would drive to the line of his former conquests with his father in law. they marched across The river of kings. but to secure his north joachim took a force of 50000 men and marched to help his brother andrei. crown prince Joseph tried to take the fortress knowing he would be attacked in the rear by joachim. but he failed. and he turned his army east. joachim found his brother emaciated not will to eat to allow as much food to supply the garrison and the other people in the fortress food. andrei however had captured documents of the collations plan and joachim realized his error.     invasion of frank- in the screaming sea 40000 san antion troops and 10000 men of the De moromanie army in exile landed north of les black rock and overwhelmed the garrison. empress telexa's brother mengar and joachims uncle the duke of leyion gathered what forces they could. they were able to gather some 42000 men with 300 guns. admiral luigi commanded the san antiona force and prince Henry de mormaine was his second in command. several small battle were fought until by the beginning of summer the attackers herd there fleet had been scattered in a great sea battle. admiral luigi knew it was know or never and ordered his army to march on versongetia. north of the city mengar met them with 20000 troops. a savage battle began with guns duel and massive cavalry engagement which saw the cavalry of both army destroyed. it was believed that 70% of the cavalry on the filed died. the battles second day the empress arrived with holy relic declaring this to be a holy war against the godless san antionas. she arrived with her uncle in law and 17000 troops. many of luigi's men surrendered and luigi himself was killed by his staff for not surrendering. prince Henry however planned on marching east in an attempt to reach safe lines. but the queen her self lead the forces which shattered the de moromaine army. she personally wrote the letter to her husband saying that the theater to there home was gone and sent proof of the two head of the enemy commanders.   the spring and summer campaign   know he couldn't stop joachim marched east from fredricksberg to link up with his main force. in the north Napoleon's army had stopped an attack down the river of kings by building better fortresses at its mouth. but napoleon suffered the first major defeat of the war for the franks. his army while on the march was attack on three sides by a massive cavalry force lead by tsar ivan. while trying to escape he found that 17000 northern isle troops had landed on the coast next to his rear guard. he had to fight his way out and forced his army to split and break out from the encirclement. however he lost a total of 21000 men dead, wounded and captured. napoleon had to turn east and retreat to the new fortresses that were under construction. the 25 year old king was ashamed of himself and tore off his order of the black star saying he want worthy of being a knight. but he moved his forces out defending the key roads to the south and protected joachims southern flank. tsar ivan the theater commander tried to attack him but the proximity of the broken up army allowed them to attack his forces from multiple side. each force would just have to wait. Louis campaign had been more successful. he had linkup with the garrison in the frontier kingdom and march against hermen von draks force which had returned to there home. Louis had recruited goblin wolf riders and elven heavy cavalry. he detached his mortijzan troops and sent them north to help hegor's struggling army which was fighting a large enemy force around the imperial estate. he took his Frankish detachment and marched towards walchaindorf. mean while during the spring joachim marched steadily east chasing crown prince Joseph and his army had had joined many small force and 20000 men and the tsar. Josephs had know a combined force of some 117000 men. it consistent mainly of Magaran ans tsardom troops but had units from the lands of the crown still loyal to the hallsbergs, recanik horse men and cossack made up the bulk of his light cavalry and he had several regiments of san antionin troops. Joseph stopped at the town of estamukl the main road straight to telta. hear he made camp. the tsar believed the best course of action was keep falling back in the hope that telta would make the best fortification and wait for there allies to move back and support them. this was possible. king Louis had push herman von drak back out of walchindorf and was marching towards the magaran boarder but the young commander to the shorter more dangerous mountain root. in the north napoleon was re grouping and was beating back the forces the tsar had left in the north. as well the Garrison on the asmanger archipelago west of the territory controlled by The under empire was trapped by the Frankish fleet. however in turn herman and the tsars troops were falling back but Joseph refused to give up the town of estamukl without a fight. he truest as well that the unusual cold late summer and the beginning of autumn gave Joseph hope that his foe would fight him.   battle of estamkl   Joachim not put off by the cold continued his march east. his army was 120000 men with 2000 guns. most of his force was Frankish including 10000 of his elite musketeers of the guard. he had 5000 antorion mercenary along with mortijzian regiments from his brother Louis army which had went ahead after the battle of the imperial estate. his cavalry aslo had several units of szlski wing cavalry. his father in law hegor was also marching further south along a smaller and weaker road in support of his son in law. joachim knew his opponent. Joseph was a proud young man who looked up to the great military figures of his family Stephan the mighty Charles broadsword and others of equal name. the tsar as well was a proud man but more experienced as he had spent years in the badlands fighting the wolfkin. Joachim deployed behind the river est with his artillery deployed on the banks of the river. he placed groups of troops on either side of the bridges over the river and had placed cavalry traps at the side of them so they couldn't exploit a break through on the bridges. any know ford across the bridge was manned by groups of infantry. the main bulk of his army was deployed in a long line along the river. however his cavalry was deployed in front of his guns on the east bank of the river. this was in order to entice the blood thirsty recanik and Cossack cavalry which made up the bulk of the collation cavalry. joachim had ordered his men to make as much noise as they could to intimidate the enemy and goad them into fighting. as sun rose on the 13th of September a light snow began to fall. it followed with more screaming and chanting by the Frankish cavalry men. the Cossack who were placed on guard duty asked there commander hetman Nikolai Kutejnikov the commander of all Cossack forces decided to take matters into his own hands. he told his men to quietly weaken all the remaining cossaks and together they would charge the flanks and center of the Frankish cavalry men. the charge began at 7 am and before Joseph could do anything about it they were already gone. the franks turned and counter changed and the two cavalry forces fell into a whirling cavalry battle. joachim then ordered all 50000 of his antarion skirmishes up so to pick off important cossack leaders and draw the imperial forces out. the skirmishers killed three of the hetmans sons both his brothers, several other hetmans from other family but the hetman himself was killed by a sergeant of the 1st light squadron. then men in the imperial lines began to get picked off by the Frankish skirmishers. but instead of ordering his men back he ordered the rest cavalry to join the battle. when he saw his enemy deploy the rest of his cavalry force joachim ordered his men back across the bridge and ordered his cannons to open fire. believing his enemy was just covering there retreat the crown prince ordered his army to make a steady advance across the filed and over the bridges leaving only a few units on each flank and in the center mainly the elite imperial guard regiments. the commander of his left wing tsar ivan pushed on and was able to force a bridge only to find the cavalry had been slaughtered. he tried to order his men back but it was to late his troops were cough on the bridge with cannons and Frankish muskets raining fire on them. the same situation was on the left flank but the magaran filed marshal Hugo Kossuth had tired to order his men back but succeeded in only confusing his troops and many were crushed trying to cross the bridges. in the center Frankish troops engaged in fighting on the bridges giving battle to the imperial forces. the commander of the center was high priest Andrew Bakos the leader of the peace party during 310YBCW and the crown princes closest ally had ordered a push and fore his guns to be brought up in force. the high priest in his Armour and dark green robes could see the cavalry trapped on the other side. but as he was about to order a charge the franks melted away and there guns died down on his front. he knew something was wrong but he ordered his men to make a leisurely march across the river. then under all the bridges his troops were on explosions tore them to splinters killing hundreds and sending men to the river. and rear units who hadn't made it on to the bridge scrambled to help there comrade but succeeded in getting themselves in the river. Frankish cannons then fired into the river and infantry began to fire down upon the men in the river some even went down the small embankment to fight with bayonet and sword. tsar ivan seeing what had happened ordered his men to cross at any cost and pushed across the river capturing the gun emplacements and taring down the spikes. Joachim saw this and led the musketeers of the the guard to help his own right flank. the tsar at the head of his army with his own Cossack guard saw the king and charged. the musketeers formed a line in front of there king and shot the tsar off his horse and killed many Cossack guards seeing there commander fall the tsardom troops fell back across the bridge. on the left flank filed marshal hugo had been captured and his forces was falling back. the crown prince ordered the imperial guard to march in and help his broken army but it was to late. by the time the 20000 men had arrived in force the bulk of the army had gone. Joseph however didn't run and stayed hoping that seeing there commander remain and fight would turn his troops around but by night fall the crown prince was a prisoner of the franks   counting the cost   out of Josephs force of some 117000 men. only a force of some 50000 left in tacked with the tsar. 60% of the 12000 cavalry were left. the imperial guard hadnt been deployed and around 39,800 men were dead wounded or missing. among the dead were among the dead there the army cavalry commander, the high priest, the commander of the army artillery and the the crown princes personal body guard. the Frankish camp the situation was also bad. out of his 120000 men half of his 9000 cavalry were dead or wounded. on his own right flank had been badly battered. 2000 of his musketeers of the guard were dead or wounded. the emperor himself had been wounded in the arm. on the hole the franks lost some 20000 men dead and wounded leaving the know 26 year old emperor with 100000 men. but his army was tired out of supply and he had lost momentum. but they had the crown kaiser as a prisoner. hegor demanded that he brought to him so he could kill the young crown kasier by joachim had the young kaiser imprisoned in a small keep under guard   Peace talks   as winter came into force the grand collation knew there time was up. there last major force had been destroyed and know was the time to ask for peace. but peace came to them. Andrei le Bonaparte arrived with a peace treaty for the members of the collation to sign. joachim had already signed it so had hegor and joachims to brothers. Joseph the 2nd looked at it. hallsbergs would relinquish all claimed to the lands of szlski, mortizja and heligoland. they would formerly recognize joachim as emperor of the franks. the san antioans would remove there fleet from Frankish waters and with draw all there troops so to would the kings of the northern isle and the tsar. prisoners would be exchanged. the hallsberg would be allowed to make there capital at fredricksberg. the korei's would be allowed home but the frontier kingdom would be partitioned between the hallsberg and haysyrax empires. jospsh the 2nd pondered for several days and then he and his senior lords signed the peace treaty and ended the war.     2 years of peace   after the peace treaty was signed on 12th of December the Frankish troops marched home. Joachim and his family marched once again but this time to the imperial capital. there a great fest was held in celebration of the victory. in fredricksberg emperor Joseph settled into the palace. from his window he could see the great fortress. he know had the task of healing a realm torn by war and riven with famine. the same went for hegor but his problems were only mounting. mengar was know crown kaiser and his brother anko archduke of olgenberg. earth of these men as well had family. the know 30 year old mengar was married to his cousin himeria haysyrax daughter of Hegor's dead older brother and three years older than her husband. the 27 year old anko was married to the 24 year old lady Julia mertos a minor member of the house of mertos they had two twin daughters meryexa and zandoiria both 15 and a 10 year old son name hegor. with Julia came her younger brother heynar and his family. this created a wession dominated court in the imperial capital and while the hallsbergs had assimilated (while also keeping the wession traditions in secret) the haysyrax didn't. openly speaking wession in court. this angered many lords including the representatives from Frankish empire the kingdom of szlski and the the kingdom of mortijza.   as 308YBCW came around the Frankish empire was regaling from the war. so many men had gone off to fight that they couldn't work the fields. but know there king and men were home the country could start a new. as winter passed the empire recovered from the war. food exports grew and went across the world even to there former enemy's. when his uncle died he made his brother andrei know 22 the duke of leyion marrying him to his uncles only daughter Helen who was 23. he created more jobs in building roads and new towns and building ships. that year joachims wife gave him two more children girls who be called Marie and tella. his son prince joachim was 2 years old and much beloved by his parents. he was couscous of his two new sisters and spent as much time as he could with them.   in Louis court the halls echoed with cheers of joy as he said he had a son who he named milan. Louis also enacted many reforms like his brother which helped make his father in law rich.   in szlski prince john celebrate his second birth day. at the same time the king napoleon made similar reforms and used the ports that his brother had given him control to bring in trade. in krakow his capital he build a great statue depicting a great white eagle taring one of the two head off of the twin headed eagle of the hallsbergs. he built roads which linked his county to frank. he also formed the royal diet in the former capital using the viceroys palace as the seat of the diet. the diet would have representatives from all the barons and of counts for the kingdom. it would also involve the large banks family and the few merchant family. every month the diet would meat and discuss matters of state but the king still had full power.   the turmoil of 307YBCW   as the weak snows passed in 308YBCW and word of the 2nd Asiri war reach the ears of joachim the [Verainberg empire erupted into rebellion. Hegor had grown lazy with is rule depending on his son in laws garrison to mop up rebellions but as people starved and the lords of the land were heavily taxed they grew weary of there demon worshiping over lords and many lord being military men rose up in open rebellion. the most powerful of these men was count Charles hallsberg of zherik a veteran of the war in szlski he was a young man of 23 year but had shown himself to be a capable soldier and commander. he was able to rally some 8000 men and linked up with several small princes and lords and was able to mass a host of 10000 men. across the land peasant millita rose up. hegor was able to raise a force of only 6000 regular soldier with some 2000 haysyrax mercenary. hegor march first north to link up with his two sons with there own small army's. count Charles however fell upon the emperor and crushed his army. with what he had left he turned to save his capital but the high consacrator had called a holy war against the haysyrax and has effectively closed the city off. from his army came hegor sent word to his son in law pleading for help the replay came in the form of napoleon and his royal szlski army. the 28 year old king was eager to redeem himself and he ruthlessly put down the rebellion and imprisoned count Charles and had the high consacroator confined to his cathedral. he then march south putting down peasant rebellions. on his returned to the imperial capital hegor thanked him for helping him. napoleon is send to given him a stony stair and gave his brother message in reply 'if we need to come and help you every time you lose control of your lands which we have given you. they way to we need you?' hegor rose from his chair in fury but napoleon and his general were already leaving. that year as well there was bad news in the Frankish court the empress telexa was deathly ill (the reason joachim hadn't went himself). the emperor conducted his work in the empress bed chamber not leaving her side even to sleep falling asleep at his desk. her children as well didn't want to leave. the babes maria and tella yearned for there mother and the 3 year old joachim yearned for his mothers company all the time. but in august the empress passed away. the emperor was said to be apoplectic with rage so angry with the doctors and imported magic healer that his people despised for not saving his empress. the realm mourned the passing of the women they called the the fairest maid there ever was. and this was when emperor Joseph made his move.   the emperors revenge   empress telexa hadn't been dead for a month when emperor Joseph invaded the lands of the haysyrax. the emperor march his own force of some 50000 men across the river of kings and prepared to march south on the imperial capital. crown kaiser Joseph with his army marched with peter korei and herman von drak on bron and hoping to overwhelm king Louis. over night garrisons loyal to hegor defected to the emperor and crown kaiser. Louis not will to wait for orders from his elder brother gathered his royal army some 60000 men and march to meat the crown kaiser and his allies. the same was in the north but napoleon had sent word to his broken brother. the king of szlski march his army for 45000 men along the coast road hoping to secure his sea flank and then use the river of kings to his advantage. in the mean time erich korei's forces had detached themselves to give battle of along the shore of the great lake with crown kaiser mengar. crown kaiser Joseph ran into king Louis a week later along the main road. he was able to gain the loyalty of several broni units aiding some 6000 men to his army. Josephs forces made a defensive line knowing Louis would want to attack. but uncharacteristically for Louis he didn't, digging his own troops in building fortification. he sent 4000 men south under the command of his brother in law the 30 year old new count of the house of milos, George milos to secure a town just north of there opposition. he sent his most senior commander general lazar south to secure another town with 6000 men. his enemy's indecisiveness to attack had sapped the momentum out of the advance everyday they stayed in there position. in the north however emperor Joseph had dealt a crushing defeat to hegor and his loyal army and was know marching on the imperial capital. napoleon still to far away to help went more letters to his brother the emperor for help. but no reply came the emperor still to upset to do anything. napoleon took a massive risk leaving only 6000 men under general Nowak. he marched south with speed dividing his army into 5 different chunks leaving them exposed but they were able to move faster. by the time emperor Joseph had lay siege to the imperial capital napoleon had 20000 of his remaining 44000 men and was only a half days march away from the siege lines. the rest of his force wasn't far behind. on the first day of winter napoleons banners were seen north of the capital a much needed relief for hegor and a shocking sight for the emperor. but the emperor still had the numerical advantage and so he left the minimum amount of troops to defend the siege lines and he marched his army to met napoleons army. the resulting battle was a blood bath. king napoleon was badly wounded and had to be taken from the filed. his most senior commander marshal Zarek Aleksandrowicz much like his king wanted to wait for his other force only to be sent word that they had been destroyed by forces lead by the count of zherik and the margrave of zentie-betrria. knowing help wasn't coming zarek turned north and marched home. the winter siege of the imperial capital was one by the hallsbergs and for the first time in 3 years the imperial capital was in the hands of the hallsbergs.   Louis victory in the south   before Joseph the 2nd lay siege to the imperial capital. the crown kaiser Joseph decided to attack his enemy's lines hoping the peter korei's army was on the way. the artillery bombarded Louis position. Louis view this with icy calm but he road towards the fire dismounted his horse and went into the mud trench with his men. his men already worshiped him and him going into the trenches made them think of him as a god among men. the king gave his men a smile and laughed with them. a spent bullet slashed him across the face scaring him. his men were terrified but he laughed it off. his artillery responded by firing back. his cavalry were held back in reserve and his light infantry were in the front trenches. Louis looked up to see his enemy advancing across the filed. he lifted up a rifle and fired at the advancing enemy. seeing that his was doing little he drew his sword and clambered out of the trench cheering his men to follow him. a general charge was ordered by Louis and this act of bravery and selflessness gave him the nickname the king without fear. this counter attack shattered the attack of the imperial forward lines. herman out rage ordered the Grashi into battle long with his cavalry which including 1000 of his own vampire cavalry. Louis spurned his men forward. but they were no longer in line formation and couldn't bring there guns to bare on there foe in force. he grabbed one young soldier telling him to tell the army to move up in support and for the cavalry to start there attack. Louis was almost killed by a grashi and then by a saber strike from a vampire cavalry man. then he saw his line behind him he ordered a retreat. his men falling back to the safety of the friendly line infantry. the shock of the enemy counter attack had broken the organised lines of the imperial infantry and there cavalry had been used. know it was Louis turn to strike. he ordered his cavalry to attack the flanks of the tired infantry. he ordered his infantry to march forward in good order not braking its line formation. crown kaiser Joseph refused to withdraw his troops to the dismay of herman von drak. von drak not willing to see his men died without need charged into battle to fight with them and die if needs be. the battle turned into a blood bath with Louis force cutting down the organised enemy army. know on horse back he saw herman on horse back and with his personal guard charge against the vampire leader. while fighting a group of mortizja foot soldier herman didn't see Louis saber which cut him across the face almost taking his jaw off. the vampire used his magic to heal himself only for Louis to turn and charge at him again this time jumping from his saddle to plunged his sword deep into the vampires heart. herman his eyes went completely white and his head slumped back onto the ground. seeing there commander die the vampires ran back to there safe lines first and when trumpets were herd the rest of the crown kaisers forces ran as well. Louis lifted the vampires sword up looked at it. upon the blade it read 'dark soul' he took the blade for his own and lifted it into the air. his army cheered. cannons fired in victory and Louis Le Bonaparte 1st was heralded Louis the king without fear vampire's bane.     arrival of the emperor   as winter began the war didn't stop. with control of there former power base the verainberg empire look poised to invade frank and its client kingdoms. but emperor Joseph decided to winter in the imperial capital. joachim decided to march with his personal army of some 75000 men with a plan to win the war before the winter turned to spring. full of rage he link up with what force were still loyal to his father in law. and then turned north well knowing that his brother Louis could hold the crown kaiser. with speed he march his army along the main road and pounced upon general Fredrick von bresslow force of 12000 men breaking them. Josephs 2nd saw the threat but he knew he couldn't move as it would whittle down his force down before they reached the battle filed so he decided to hold the city and use it massive fortress walls to his advantage. but joachims forces arrived in force and his army had 20000 more men than his enemy. he ordered his cannons to fire to the anger of his father in law. within a day the walls came down and his army streamed into the capital. he captured the emperor his household and 40000 troops. he imprisoned the emperor and sent word to his son.
i have your father in a prison. your invasion is over if you withdraw i will agree to terms. if you choose to fight your line will end I await your reply.
once again the crown kaiser was in charge. some of his general wanted to fight but he knew his forces were to far away and to weak to keep fighting and so he sent a reply to the imperial capital saying that his men were marching home and he and his general were with him to sign a treaty of peace.   the treaty of the imperial capital   resulting treaty of the imperial capital was a harsh treaty. the house of hallsberg not there empire had to pay a massive indemnity in compensation for the war. they had to limit there army to 100000 men. they had to divide there officer corp and were limited to the amount of officers they could have. there fleet had to disseminated or handed over to the new verainberg navy under joachims father in law. the boarder was move back to there it had been with the hallsberg capital at Fredericksberg. all existing fortification had to be destroyed with immediate effect. however hegor had to also recognize joachim as count of the imperial capital. which angered Hegor Haysyrax 1st but joachim stony stair frightened the emperor into silence.   building the empire   after another victory joachim marched him still with a shattered heart. however he still had the goal of making frank great. as the spring of 306YBCW a massive amount of food was brought in. massive public works were built and all ports were put to make ships building a massive trading fleet and navy fleet. he opened up relation with The twin sultanates of Castilian and Abria and helped them during the 2nd asiri war. more reforms were brought about and land was given from the king to the people however they had to meat requirements or the crown would re poses the land. joachim as had his two client kingdom napoleon kingdom of szlski and Louis the kingdom of mortijza closer to his own Frankish empire creating a customs union and made favorable trading tariffs for frank. hegors empire as well was part of this but by know the disgraced and drunken emperor's days were numbered. the rebel germinc princling georg von schill raised a force of some 1200 mounted troops most former prisoners and soldier without work and began to raid the supply caravans and out posts of the haysyrax. the most grave was the attack on a caravan holding money from the haysyrax bank was taken. the golden bars on which had the sigil of the house of haysyrax were given put to von schill troops in payment and he used the rest to pay mostly farm boys to raise an army. he openly declared for emperor Joseph and the 'rebel' army marched north in ordered to seize a port. the drunken emperor did nothing to stop the rebellion and his son could do little apart form summon what troops he could to the imperial capital. once again hegor needed his son in laws help but the Frankish emperor wasn't willing on sending his troops to help his father in law if he wouldn't help himself. mengar made a plee to king louis. his father in law wanted to help hoping that the germinc provinces north of the kingdom could be annexed by Louis's kingdom. but louis deciding not to intervene. joachim continued and a year of peace between frank and it allies was felt until the winter came and 305YBCW came around.   the grand collations invasion- 306YBCW saw the recreation of the grad collation. the humiliations were to great to be left unchecked. the new tsar Tsar Paul Rastov 2nd's regent gathered a great host of 150000 men and marched magara to rally with filed marshal albrchet von highner and his magaran troops gathering a great army of 170000 men. the regent grand duke Constantine the tsar uncle assumed command of the force. emperor Joseph raised a army of 60000 men and in the north a great fleet of over 400 ships of all different sizes were under the command of the king of the northern isle and luigi vatican (the crown kaisers brother in law) with them a massive army of san antioan and northern isle forces numbering some 40000 men prepared to land. in the south lord commander peter with his frontier army also commanded 4000 men of De moromanie army in exile. the total power of the collation force came to a total of 319000 men. there plan was to cross the river of kings with speed and capture all main bridges that the needed to cross. peter would invade the kingdom of mortijza and force louis into a battle which would bleed him dry. in the north the combined fleet would destroy the Frankish fleet in anchor and land the combined force of the northern isle and republicans and invade the kingdom of szlski and put the attention of king napoleon to the north while his frontier was crossed by grand duke Constantine's forces after he had invaded the haysyrax domain. Joseph 2nd would lead a force of 110000 men across the river of kings take the imperial capital and then marched south and envelope napoleon in his own kingdom cutting his lines back to frank off by marching along the south bank of The roon river. the crown kaiser would hold the crossing while his father march on the Frankish capital. this relied on three things however. von schill rebellion had to hold while the invasion went on. napoleon and Louis army had to be to weak to resist invasion and the Frankish army wouldn't be large enough to stop an invasion of such size much like how the verainberg empire hadn't 6 years before. but spys in the the court of emperor Joseph informed the Frankish emperor told joachim that there would be an invasion but they knew not of the plans. the imperial army was mobilized with a standing army of 40000 men swelling to 250000 men. his brother raised 40000 men each bring the Frankish total force to 330000 men more the the collation but these had to be dispersed in order to better protect the empire. a planed invasion of brentinberg was made with andrei commanding a force of some 20000 marines and 200 ships for the invasion of the san antionan island. by mid spring the war began. as the first verainberg troops crossed the river of kings they met up with rebels under the command of von schill welcomed them. peasants flocked to see there liberators and threw flowers on them. in the south peter invaded the southern lands of the haysyrax domain and came into contact with a small force loyal to them. the battle resulted in a stalemate as archduke anko stopped lord commander peter and his force taking 600 prisoners. but he himself was attacked by a force of 1600 cavalry lead by prince von schill and he was killed.   the death of the empire- Joseph 2nd marched across the river of kings with no resistance and marched straight for the imperial capital. mengar himself had left with 600 men to link up with his brother in law who had began the march north. this left a force of some 6000 men loyal to house haysyrax. crown kaiser Joseph arrived first requesting the surrender of the city and said he would allow hegor to leave. hegor by know ill and without hope defiantly said no. the crown kaisers force of 20000 men then lay siege to the capital but not wishing to destroy it left it to starve. hegor watched as the city fell into anarchy. the emperor arrived and forced the Garrison to surrender and hegor killed himself. Joseph then declared that 'the false empire' was no more. those loyal to the haysyrax soon turned there coats and declared for the emperor but by know joachim was already deep within the empire.     joachims invasion and problems- joachim lead a force of 100000 men into the verainberg empire. his brothers were able to raise 40000 men each and 20000 men were preparing for the invasion of brentinberg. the rest of the 130000 troops were either guarding joachims flank or under the command of marshal sannier who was marching with 50000 men to fain and attack on the imperial estate. joachims plan was to take his main force and drive straight for the imperial capital and draw his enemy into a battle. in the south he needed his fain attack to draw away as many men of the enemy as they could. he needed his brothers to hold but this plan also didn't factor in an attack from the coast as joachim believed that as the republic was also part of the bloody the 2nd Asiri war they wouldn't be able to support emperor Joseph. but his last gable was a failed one as 40000 men under luigi vatican landed after sacking the northern ports and destroying the fleet anchored there driving his brothers millita force in the region back. joachim had to act so he drove with great speed north east and by may 23rd joachim's forward cavalry units found the imperial host. he gathered a war council and planed his attack.   invasion of brentinberg-while joachim entered the lands of verainberg his youngest brother with 20000 men invaded the island of bretinberg. the viceroy a 60 year old man had no way of countering the invasion having some 15000 men on the island but had the capacity to raise 40000 more. andrei however wasted no time capturing the capital and occupied the isle of the bank securing it for his brother. the Frankish fleet sank the republican ships in anchor across the island. republican loyalist rose up against andrei but they were quickly dealt with by the emperors power hungry brother. andrei so proclaimed that by right of conquest breitnberg was know part of the frankish empire proper with him as its viceroy.   the battle for the imperial capital- may 25th 305YBCW joachims war council was deep in argument about what to do. many said they should use the fain as the main attack know and anchor this force of 100000 men where they were preventing the imperial army from advancing any further. many including the emperor said they needed to attack and force the enemy into an open battle where he believed his force could out fight his enemy and draw the tsar and his massive host south and give his brother time to deal with his northern threaten and then turn the royal szlski army south to aid the Frankish army. other suggest braking the force up in an attempt to confuse the enemy drawing it away while taking a force to attack the imperial capital. but the king and his supporters prevailed and he got his open battle. joachim arraigned his army in a line with a larger force on his left flank. it was guarded by artillery on a small rise. the cavalry was kept in the reserve to exploit a break through and the rest of the artillery was in a great batter in front of the army guarded by fortification built over night. the left flank had most of the grenadiers and a large amount of the musketeers of the guard. emperor Josephs force numbered 120000 men with strong flanks. he also had heavy guns. by 4 am battle began with Frankish battery opening on the verainberg army. the imperial army held it ranks. this was not the army that joachim had fought against 6 years before. he then ordered two more battery sent to his left flank he was going to attack know. he needed a victory and fast. the two more battery thundered down on the left flank of the verainberg army cutting the men to bits. then at 6 am the Frankish army advanced covered by cavalry and artillery. emperor Joseph not knowing what to do ordered his own army forwards but left his own cavalry in reserve but allowed his artillery to fire. the experimental 'burner' rounds made by scarts were used against joachim which exploded and sent liquid fire on the enemy along with fragments of metal into the enemy. the ball as well after exploding released a short lived poison which killed more men. however the franks as well had there own secret weapon. a small corp of sharpshooters had deployed the previous night in the hamlet in the middle of the town. they used long rifles with telescopic scopes which had been used by imperial engineers during the 18 years war but thought to cumbersome and expensive. this unit as well was not light infantry these men were hand picked sharpshooters and they picked off imperial troops as the advanced and held up it advance. the franks and imperial troops engaged in a long line battle. the center and right of the Frankish line was hit the hardest and by 7.40am joachim ordered his left flank to attack. lead by the brave marshal Eugene Lumière the left smashed into the verainberg army. despite the bravery of the young verainberg army the Frankish troops hardened by the last 6 years of war they tore apart the verainberg force and turned it forcing what was left to turn to guard the flank of the rest of the army. on the rights side and center both forces tore bloody holes in there foe. the hamlet was placed under siege with its small garrison. joachim decided to lead by example taking his musketeers of the guard and 10000 men from the center and lead by a cavalry wedge and broke the center of the verainberg line and effectively relived the siege of the hamlet and cut the verainberg army in two. crown kaiser Joseph on the right however wanted to provoke the Frankish emperor to fight him. this he did taking 300 cavalry and smashing into the right flank. the bloody battle climaxed into a duel between the crown kaiser and the Frankish emperor where the crown kaiser was cut across the face and he lost the sight in his eyes but joachim was hit in the bell and was heavily bleeding and was lead from the filed. by mid day the left flank had total collapsed and the verainberg army and withdraw and the frank claimed victory.   the cost- by the time the cost was tallied the franks had lost a 4th of there man power. some 27500 men were dead and wounded including 19 generals. the army was exhausted and could continue to march and defeat the imperial force. the verainberg empire had taken 30000 men dead wounded and captured and lost half there guns but they escaped to there capital.   the war in the south and the north- in the south king Louis faced an army of some 40000 men under the command of lord commander peter. he had suffered two defeats at the hand of the lord commander of the frontier and was falling back to his kingdom boarder where his father in law had a force of some 10000 fresh troops. he sent word to marshal sannier to help him but sannier told him his orders were to draw forces away from the emperor. Louis who also know was know ill with a plague decided to hold his boarder and hope that sannier operation ended before the summer rain began. but peter arrived on louis boarder and his cavalry began to harass his forces. the king without fear took 3000 men mostly cavalry and left the country by the northern boarder in order to draw way his enemy. in the north napoleon was face with a two way invasion and in every battle was either defeated or was able to just check the enemy. but in the diet he gave a great speech saying
my lords. i know not what may come to pass in the next few weeks. our allies are no where to be seen.yet i am your king. and while i am your king i will not turn away from you. every young man must be raised to fight for his country. this nation will not live in fear of northern revers and rapers. we will not live in fear of the tsar and his army's. we will not bend to the verainberg emperor. we shall raise from the ashes of defeat and become a great version of ourselves. so which of you will join me and fight for his homeland !!!.
this spurred on the lords of the diet and they raised an army of 80000 men with 30000 cavalry. king napoleon would march with most of the cavalry and beat the tsar and his massive army and the rest of the army would defeat luigi and his army and drive them back into the sea. but this was not as easy as it seemed. grand duke Constantine the regent for tsar paul's army was massive and napoleon plan was to fight cavalry with cavalry. his heavy horse gave battle in the north the flat land of the szlski was great for cavalry and napoleon knew it and planed a battle. the resulting battle saw nothing but disaster for both sides. the grand dukes mostly light cavalry was broken by the heavier szlski cavalry. they fought there way to the infantry slaughtering many men but napoleon in full Armour with his wings and the eagle sword fought from the front and killed the grand duke in a duel only for a Cossack guard shot the king in the chest and then a cannon ball struck him in the shoulder and the szlski army retreated with there wounded king. he was brought before queen Kathrine who sat by his bed as he died. his only son john know 4 years old cried when he saw his father. by mid June the king was dead and john was made king john 1st. joachim still recovering from his battle was distraught. Louis as well conducting a defensive campaign was heart broken along with andrei. this spurned louis into action and he planed a 5 day campaign to destroy peter and his army. his force of 6000 would sweep south and cut off the line of retreat. his main force would then divide peter force by drawing them into skirmishes and cutting them up over three days. on the last day Louis 6000 men would strike form behind and the rest of the army would trap peters forces and drive him into a battle. the campaign however failed on the first day peter put his force north and succeeded in capturing Louis but turning 15000 men of marshal sanniers forces south and the battle of kesmiski resulted in a defeat for peter ad his army. the army fell to Louis brother in law who linked with general hugos army who had just won at kesmiski but the mid June rains stopped him from advancing and saving his brother in law. queen anka know 23 became regent with her father become ward for her 3 year old son prince milan.   the final month- with his army full recovered joachim marched one again on the imperial capital and a great siege began in which thousands would die. in the south marshal sannier had captured the imperial estate and was truing south east to cut off peter korei and his army and slice the empire in half. only in the north was his plan turning to nothing. but he had the hope what his brother with 30000 fresh troops to help his sister in law. but this would come to nothing. krakow was taken by storm with the garrison and queen fleeing to the boarder to link up with andrei's army. by the end of June the two forces linked up and had some 50000 men but the combined northern force was some 200000 men. with his land under the threat of invasion he asked for peace while he still had the upper hand. peace would take time to spead with peter korei marching north to stop sannier and engaged in the last battle of the war which resulted in a Frankish tactical victory but peter was able to stop sanniers advance.

Aftermath

while the Frankish empire was safe it would only steady fall after the death of joachim 1st. joachim 2nd who was controlled by his wife queen helen by his wife spent large amounts of the treasurer on balls and feast which resulted in a weak army which during the reign of his own son joachim 3rd would result in a defeat bot h on land and sea at the hands of the san antiona republic despite him being the last great warrior king of frank.   for the verainberg empire the war both made sure they were still second to the twin sultanate but also strengthened the position of the house of hallsberg. the supporters of Joseph the 2nd were given positions of power but the blinding of his son was a scar which would haunt the empire. without a strong warrior emperor the empire would be at risk.   for both sides the war gave valuable experiences. the Frankish army for the first time since the times of mounted knights the Frankish army could carry itself with pride and was kept safe in a warrior dynasty. the verainberg army could also carry itself with admiration as despite its horrific defeats it had been able to fight with honor and pride in the face of a Frankish army it had never seen. the non combatant powers also benefited as well with lessons that were learned during the war spreading to the rest of the nations many of which were used during War of the White Sea . as the republic was dealt a defeat it meant that it would struggle to help its Allie the house Asiri in the 2nd asir war.
