the capital of the verianberg empire it was named by The faith of the one as they believe that it is the only city worthy of an empire.
Demographics
about 99% of the population is made of verianberguers while the remaining 1% is Germincs
Defences
every road into the city is defended by a fortress and the city itself is a has massive stone walls which house cannon breach and muzzle loading. the imperial castle is also a fortress being a old calse it still has the old castle wall around the city.
Industry & Trade
the city is the hub of art,culture,science and learning through out the empire.
the city is also has many industry including arms and the head quarters of The grysner arms company is in the impiral city
Infrastructure
the city is very well connected with paved or cobbled roads and streets. paved roads lead out to the surrounding suburbs and into the out laying town. a working sewer system runs under the city. there are also several train lines which run in every direction to the other main city's in the empire.
on the palace side of the city, the southern part of the city is know as the old quater and is beleived to be the part where the ornigal town was set up.
Assets
the city lays on the banks of The river of kings which empty into the great lake. this give the city endless water supplies and some small dams have been made on the smaller rivers fed by the river of kings and supply the city with a little electricity.
the city had a permanent garrison of around 10000 men recutred from the direct area and the city. it is sometimes called The imperial army as it is still technically under the command of the imperial family but in practice it is under military high command control
the impiral palace the family winter resdeince is located in the city. it was built by Stephan von anrian after his victory in The war of Men and the 'Old' races during that time the hallsbergs were stewards and commander of the household guard of the imperial castle. since it was taken over by the house of hallsberg.
it was believed that during the war of the three empires the city could withstand a siege for three years due to the fact it had such massive food stores and it does. massive under ground granarys hold the grain needed to keep the city fed for 2 years if need be.
History
the city was originally the base of a tribe know as the Allriks a germinc tribe but the von hammers a verainberguer family defeated them and built a town. over the years with the help of elves the town grew to a city and a city state was born the city of anerian and the von hammers became the von anerians.
it became the centre of a new religion born out of the great migration The faith of the one after the relgious war between the verianberguers who blieved in there ancetral gods and those who turned there eyes to this new fait they set up there first church and the verianberguer people changed there religion from the elven religion to the faith of the one. the city grew incorporating many smaller areas threw marriage and became a kingdom the kingdom of verianberg. Stephan von anrian was crowned Emperor of verianberg in the city and he declared no city is more worth of an emperor or empire. no city is as strong or as faithful it shall be renamed to the impiral capital.
after Stephan the mighty died his son maxaillian first became empror of the empire of the great lake and his land inherited the capital but his defeat and then his second brother hugo the emperor on The roon river was killed the youngest brother Charles 3rd became the emperor but at this time the city was a ruin.
