Personal history

early life-Stephan was born 749YBCW the son of Emperor Fredrick 3rd.  his mother died giving birth and he his fathers only son. he was a healthy baby and showed great promise. when he was 5 he was given a sword and his uncle archduke adolf became his instructor. by 10 he was the best of his age. yet he suffered from an inability to count and add well. at 17 he was married to chritstina hallsberg of the marches but he had little love for her and spent alot of time with his lover princess Leopolda fredricka. one year later his father died and he became emperor of verainberg and he became emperor Stephan 3rd.
reign- Stephan reigns would be dominated by a violent series of wars. after a sacking of heligoland capital of hells-landing he sailed his army north. at the battle of asahiem Stephan defeated the northern isle army and took land from them taking the name the mighty. he then made his uncle the 48 year old Archduke Adolf (779YBCW-696YBCW) archduke of the northern isle and made himself archduke of olgenberg. his first son Maximilian was born 728YBCW. however he was not present for the birth fighting one of his campaigns. during his early reign he opened relations with Saladin 1st. he promised the sultan his next son wound become a ward of his. 722YBCW his next son Hugo was born and was give to the sultan. His final and favorite son Charles (named for Charles 1st) was born 720YBCW. Stephan loved his youngest son and raised him up to be a great leader gifting him Asbang as his own seat. this enraged his first son who was so anger he traveled to the north and confronted him. Stephan remarked that his first son and heir was weak.
invasion of setercha and death-704YBCW Stephan took 15000 mostly from the frontier and invaded setercha in an attempt to annex the area. however his campaign ended in deserter and the years of being in the saddle

Stephan had taken large amounts of land from the northern badlands and the northern isle kingdom.

his biggest failure was splitting the empire between his three sons. this started war of the three empires
