The war of Men and the 'Old' races
the most important engamgent in histroy the war between the kingdoms of man and the races of the old races changed the geopoltical world of eurota.
The Conflict
Prelude
Humans arrived from the southern continent 3000 year before the war began. with the help of some of the races including the Elves they forged nations. hundreds of year passed. men and the other races lived in harmony. unlit one day the young Blair prince murdered the emperor of the twin sultanates daughter. enraged the sultan gather the leaders of the nations of men to discus the fate of the 'old' races. They all decided it was time to show them you was the new great powers. At first the new alliance was in trouble. Many humans where against it they feared the wrath of there overlords. However in time they alliance became strong and by the 3rd moon of the new year the armies where ready to march.
Deployment
In the center of the continent the army of Frank and verianberg prepared there forces to push into the great elven kingdoms. verinbergs army's were also posed to eliminate the goblins which lived in the great forests. the united tsardoms would push the old races which lived in great of steppe. these were mainly orks and hobgolbins who had fought wars against one another for years. the twin sultanates army dived between the two nation (the two didn't share a common boarder). they would push north and expunge the large hobgoblin and Blair populations.
The races of 'old' army's were small apart from the militant Blair and were unprepared.
The Engagement
outbreak-War began when the the tyrnat of elsia called all the great clans and tribes of the franks to the capital at versongettia and marched west against there over lords the hirechars of the dark elf empire. one warrior would march south and then east and would found the de nab family and would become the kings of bron. the dark elf's gathered up a host to defeat the host of glittering knights and savage footmen which the franks had gathered. the high king was joined by arch king erik magnusson who swore fieatly to the high king adding his host to the kings. the dark elves summoneda mighty host and decided to give the franks and there allies where they clashed at a field which would become know in dark elvish as layoththur (death field) . the first main battle of the war where the franks were victorious. with victory in the heartland of the elves the new archduke erik used his fleet to harras the dark lef navy in the scremaing sea. his forces moved to the coast and began coloniing the land throught the war. the high king of frank would then quickly strike east. the tyrnat of elisa Philippe le boniparte in the east raided into frankish terrifory and the frankish war in the east would be a bloody and long drawn out affier.
in what would become the impiral capital king stephan von anerian 4th of verainberg, was affixed with the Imperial Blue and was proclaimed the succesor of aserin and emperor before the high concorator of The faith of the one as well as many of his vassels inculding the hallserb archukes of olgenberg, and his powerful northern warolds the lords of House vermont of venomhall. there armyes would cut the head off the snake. due south of there lands was the heart of the elvish world the city of Darera. the seat of the most powerful high elvish king, while they had been on the decline and had been locked in a duel for suprmiscy with the esvdell empire to the south, darera was still the beating heart and religous centre of the elvish people. stephan gathered a great host of verainbergur and germinc warriors, inculding knights, foot soldiers, archers and even some slavic and slzski warriors. high kings Davlinn had taken the crown from the last the house malakin kings and had been about toe push south, know he turned his army north. in 1997YBCW davlinn beseiged the boarder fortress of inronberg. stephan who had been gathering his forces decided to take his 1000 knights and galloped south as quickly as he could. in the thrashing rain his 1000 knights charged the elven siege lines. half where killed inculding the young kings uncle. the siege lines where broken and king davlinn retreated. after this vicotry against such odds the remaining knights where named the knights of the ages, and over the course of the war they evolved and soon where renamed to the knights of a thousand years.
the war in the south- while the king of verianberg struck sout and the ings of frank attacked there overlords and eastern rivals. the sultans amries marched north from the straits. assmebling the recourses of the southlands and there vassels caboos had the largest army of any human ruler. they faiced tow main threats to the east the bregturage mountinas housed the hobgolbin tribes who where waging war with the ork and goblin tribes who had gathered around the warlord urbanag of the silver eye, and ork shamen king who had gathered one of the largest ork hordes ever seen, the sultans chroniclers saying it was around 12000 strong. the other foe the sultan faced where the elven kingdoms of the south. in respose to caboos calling his council of human rullers. the esvdell emperor called a council of the southern elven kings. the human enclave around belgronda was the main target. however the sea elve kings beleived striking at thr dukes of lostia. the specter of the the Archonian Empire still making them fearful. the sultan split his force.s the prince of castilain renforced with men from the south would hit the dark elves. he would lead the main host towards esvdell while murmud bey would strike north to fight the orks and hobglins. hobgolbin war lords amassed an army of 50000 and marched to fight the sultans army at the battle of bregturage. the hobgolins were able to inflict heavy calculates on the sultans army but they were forced to retreat. the seterchan prince however lead his host south into the once mighty empire of esvedell.
in the south the fear of the rising of the dukes of lostia came to truth. the lostians as vassel of the sultan marched there warriors and sailed there ships to war with the southern sea elf kings. the sea elves raised there own fleet, a massive armada of which the world had not seen. on land the lsotains where less lucky. forces best them on all sides and only after the sultan had quickly marched his forces across to him by 1991YBCW did they survie.
on the coast the duke of lostia launched his new fleet at the sea elf fleet. the two met off the coast off the island who hirnar which is know the mohammad the great island. the resulting battle was desatoures for the sea elves. the fleet was destroyed and all of the sea elf princes were killed. a few months latter the sea king was killed by the duke of lostia who took his crown.
Advance through the Catalan mountain range saw the destruction of most of the dark elf strong hold in northern castilan. the fighting to several long hard years of siege craft. the center moutans took the longest time many holding out with only skeltion garrsions. a concise effort was made on behald of the prince of castilian and the frankish nolves on the other side of the mountains. after 3 years of fighting however the frankish and castilians met up. in the far east frankish and castilain forces would march east into mortijza and recurited many slavs on the way as they carved threw the east to the other elven kingdoms.
the steppe-Tsar ivan the conqueror rode through the steppe and fought the'old' races of the steppe. this would be the longest part of the war. the tsars forces not being able to help the other three nations of the Continent.
the dark elves revenge- the isle of death was one of the few parts of the empire to hold strong during the war. as the war ravage threw the 1990's 1980's YBCWthe frankish and henari cut threw the dark elf lands
the unlikly alleince- despite the many set backs and the ecroching sultan and the prince of setercha. the emperor of esvdell atharion the ultiamte met with king davllin of darera. the two had been mortal enemies but in 1983YBCW with there realms encrealing under threat from both sides they struke and accord. davllin would marry atharion's daughter Calla athrions and his vassle kingss would march north and they would deal with king stephan toghther. the esvdell army gathered in the capital and before marching threw the forests of the central plains, defeated a golbin army looting there great troves of gold. the two commanders met on the banks of the beltorin (later reichvin) river. atharion wanted to wait in the hope that stephan would be drawn north but the other campgains he had laucnhed against the other elven kings. unknwon to him in the north lord vermont had linked up with the heligolander jarls and had marched all the way to the elven city of Dar'vay (kings bay later hells-landing). it was know or never seen and in the summer of 1983YBCW the greast battle of the war was about to be fought.
turning alleigences- in the west as the former Deskerrin szlski riders munity under there high elf rulers the kings of the meirithalyari. all the elves that where not under the protection of the dark elf empire where rulled by the arch kings of the west king. the current arch-king was an infant child and so rule passed to his mother and uncle they where weary of joining the war but many of the other vassle kings whated to unit there forces and attack. however the kings of the meirithalyari had a diffretn idea, dalbonath king of sa'ivran had married his daughter to stephans uncle lord erik von anerain and so not wishing to go to war against his family dalbonath called a convlave of western monarchs to his capital at sha'ivrian. he promosed swearing fealtiy to the new emperor in the hpe he would allow them to keep there lands. this did not go down well, but wishing to pull away from the arch king dalbonath and many of the meriithalyari rebelled and in late 1983 YBCW king dalbonath ,lord thorian and there vessles layed there sword at the steward of the castle and swore fealty to serpaneth rall anerain emperor of the known world (stephan von anerain) and there levies joined the hosts of the empire. the elven world was shocked. many elves where outraged and where not willing to let this man call himself emperor and joined the war fighting the szlski riders and the new emperor forces. in sha'ivren the twilight war borke out the king standbard bearer irek lord of start serpent tower raised na army in rebellion and began the war of the wailing star and sat a civil war in sha'ivren, however by this point king dalboanth had joined his forces to king stephan to fight the emperor of esvdell and king of darera. where the battle on the lake was fought.
the battle of on the lake- in the autum of 1983YBCW
war in the south-the war was coming to its last few years. so many of the elven kingdoms had fallen there princes and kings being killed or executed. These two great monarchs would not be cowed. With them marched the great orders of elven knights. Glittering banners fluttering in the vendors breeze of summer. The circular sigils of the elven house emblazoned on triangular flags. So while Stephan was marching his host of knights west in the hope of linking up with the Frankish who where fighting the high elf kings to his east the two rulers marched north smashing three the boarder. Calton the cunning sabotaged there advance destroying bridges and farms in the invasion rout as he withdrew his meger army. (After his family would build a castle on a hill they named caltonberg and they would be it's firsts dukes) stephan quickly turned his army around linking up with the renforcments from dalbonath and lord hallsberg second son (his first along with himself having lead the impieral forces east."

Outcome
the war resulted in the destruction of the 'old' races nations there races lived in small community isolated from the nations of men. the war lead to the creations of the nations of men and gave rise to the great power being the the twin sultanates of Abria and Castilian
despite the great power being in the south stephan von anerian was able to gather the dispert peoples to his side.
in the west, the horse lords of the slzksi and there elven and vilakrewny allies had laready sworen allegence to stephan.
in the south the slavic lords where know posed with fighting one another. George De nab a frankish knight from a minor family had united the verainbergur and slavic population of the south. his manu territoral rivals where the prentovic lord of the west and the fenatic frontiers men of the east who where amoung the first to declare themsleves for stephan and who know strarted there fued with the mentanavics begining the The setrchan frontier kingdom war. taking the slavic version of his name yuri he attempted to take over the lordship of mortijza. depite being small the mortijzan slavs defeat yuri at the battle of claovitza pass. stephan then gathered the three slavic lords to his new impieral capital. the three would all bend the knee to him. your would keep his title as king of bron. the petrnovic's as lords of mortijza. the kerois would be named lord commanders of the frontier and protectors of carniola but he would take the ttitle king of the slavs. it would be in the east where he would have the beigest state building probelm.
the nation of the verianberg empire is formed. within there land they took many elven riches. the verianberg emperor melt down all of the elven crowns and thrones and created the great throne of verianberg which when anointed by the high concorator gave the verianberg emperor the title of emperor of verainberg, king of magara, grand duke of slzski and king of the slavs. with magara came a massive part of the population who belevied in the old faith/the elven religion and with many of his new subjects being elves he needed to soldify his hold, so in the new capital of magara a small fishing town called telta he once more proclaimed himself succsesor of the god king asiren sighting his bloodline first from anerian then up to the high kings of the elven empire of the line of house asiren.
when it came to picking a capital, many had thought that he should make his capital darera, but the city was little more than a ghost town, the stones of the sacked city where destroyed, the great forge was looted and destroyed. he diided the palaces along the banks of the great lake would become his impieral families estate, but he would keep the vault in darera which be began modifiying with the help of the vaultkeepers. the capital however was moved to the renamed the impiral capital in a centeral location in the empire.
the twin sultanates of Abria and Castilian connected all of its territory and became the number one super power on the continent. taking the black mountains the former seat of Dark elf Empire the sultan and the prince of Castilian explored the cavernous mountains. in side they found dark magic and wished to exploit it. using the Sultans order of magic taking the magical items from the elven holdings. they took books back to abria as well. they also uncovered the dwarven keeps inside the mountains. they took all the things the could. the drawen king haldar the high's great axe was given to the sultan as a gift and haldars axe for a time was the ancestral weapon of the sultans. in the black forest the seterchans slaughtered the wood elves and the then prince took the wood elf kings silver circlet and handed it to sultan caboos. when caboos bid him rise he handed the prince the crown back.
the untied tsardoms gained more land and took control of all of the steppe. the last ork where driven out of the steppe and went on to live in the est in insignificant numbers. the tsar was able to link up all of his lands.
the kingdom of frank gained new land but suffered badly. the lands they had held no riches the old elven homeland was not what it once was but it was the Frankish king who killed the last dark elf ruler taking his crown and making his own crown from it and blue steal
as for the old races. the elves witnessed the worse depopulation since the elven schim millions where killed with all of the kings who didnt side or lay down there arms peacfully being killed. in the verainberg empire, a new room in the dareran vault was made named the crown room. placed on plinths within a new room in one of the lower levels of the vault the crowns of the elven kings and queens where taken fused in glass and left a monument to stephans victory.
Aftermath
the tear drops of the gods would evetual turn a human into a Blair which would happen to Ibriham 6th sultan emperor of the twin sultanates of Abria and Castilian
