In the court of the sultan Blairs are considered by some to be lifeless and humorless by many.

History
The blair have lived since the world was made. they fought the first ever conflict between them and The Darklings the Blairs who master dark magic (able to forge armys from nothing but black dust) was able to enslave then and the Blair king forge the Darkling RIng. hundreds of years passed and as the other race developed the Blairs started to lose there power thought the continent. the elven Blair war saw the Blair defeated by a collation of Elven nobles. the Blairs were pushed in there mountain homeland. when humans arrived the Blairs hated the idea of people desecrating there homeland. so when The war of Men and the 'Old' races began the Blair geared up for war.
In order to make sure his race survived he used his bark powers to take part of his soul and place it in a drink and gifited it to Sultan Caboos. this drink would manifet 2000 year later a new blair king born from a man and the blairs would rule the world forever more.
