foundation- the lord admiral of the empire was one of the first postions created for the new verainberg empire. it set about creating a fleet. in the early years of the empire however large vessels provide to be difficult to make and keep, the empire peffering land base warfare. however hells-landing, charlestadt and Thorianavan provide to be strong recuriting grounds. when Jarl Guthrum Reginherusson {Arnulf Rauffenberg} became lord admiral the navy grew in size to well over 40 vessles with many more smaller northern styles longships being made.
they days of the admiral emperor- Joseph hallsberg 4th pumped a massive amount of funding into the navy. the first emperor ro peffer the navy to the army he had created a fleet with around 200 warships. he had 20 one hundred and forty forty gun ships. his flagship jarl guthrum (named for one of his heroes guthrum reginherusson jarl of derkhoff) was even larger and had only just been finished was a 160 gun warship and he himself would command. a vast amount of men had been drafted into the navy to fill this vast fleet.
it was beleived in total the navy had close to 200000 men and women (only men where allowed to serve on ships). of this number around 20000 where elves mostly northern sea elves. the majority of the seamen came from the heligolander population as well as verainbergurs and Western Ravabski.

most of the navy are from heligoland. this is because most of the men work on the sea and so have the right set of skills to join the navy.

the early years

Joseph hallsberg 4th reforms- having become emperor at the age of 2 when Wilhelm hallsberg 3rd died. the young emperor was a quite yet charming young child and quickly he grew a small group of freinds. they would often swim in the river of kings and when the emperor went down to the estates he would take them and swim in the great lake in the south. at 13 he and his friends where offered places in the army but he opted to join the tired navy.
the naval minister Adalbert von elkingin (a minor noble from ensigard) took the young emperor under his wing and posted him on the impieral flagship.
when the emperor came of age he saw the sorry state the navy was in andset about devoting as much money as to the navy as his forebares had to the army.
hell's-landing, charlesdht, thorianavarn and asbangsdht where all pumped full of funding. the docks where enlarged. the emperor spent vast amounts of his personal fotrue buying up forests from local lords.
the cantorelli gun makers where given a massive order to built hundreds of cannons
town became massivly industrialsed in a matter of months, thosands of jobs where made building up infestructure and the navy. over the next 7 years the fleet grew from less that 40 vessals to 200 inculding a massive 160 gun mosnter the largest ship put to see at that time the guthrum reginherusson.
