the 18 years war
fought between the verianberg empire and the northern isle kingdom it was mainly fought for the duchy of heligoland but it soon evolved into a conflict over control of the verainberg throne.
The Conflict
Prelude
One late night co king of the northern isle Fredrick was told that his daughter the duchess of heligoland died without an heir and her husband had died fighting in a tournament she had left the duchy to her father and it meant that the duchy had no holder. Fredrick rushed to tell his brother king Christian the 11th of what had happened. But in the verainberg empire they already had a plan they offered the title duke of heligoland Paul Rastov 1st and Alexandra Hallsberg second son Michael. Paul exempted the offer and sent his 15 year old son to live with his aging grandfather Wilhelm 1st known as the king of stars. Wilhelm knee the northern isle kings were looking on with greedy eyes on the area of his empire which spoke a similar language to them. At this time the northern isle were at the height of their power. The fleets dominated the northern sea and there dominion stretched into the intro of the northern badlands. There army’s had fought several stunning battles against the people of the badlands. But they know sought to find new land south and make true there dream of owning heligoland. Christian declared his brother the rightful duke of heligoland and the two prepared for war
Deployment
. They drew the resources of their empire together amassing three army of 30000 men each with a different destination and fleet to guard it. The plan was to land 30000 men at charlesdht to drive out imperial force there. They would make two landings west and east of the port city and trade hub. With 60000 men the two kings would then march south and down the river of kings to the imperial capital.
The king of stars knew there would be war so called on all his lords and his allies in the united tsardoms. He gathered all the resources he had and bought all men under the banner of the imperial army. He was able to raise and army of 100000 men with a core of elite generals. He had also the ability to call on the ten orders of knights giving him an elite cavalry force. His plan was to quickly send his entire force north to hells landing disarm then ducal army. He would them march two army’s each 20000 strong west and east along the coast to hold coastal towns and forts. his son vasily was given the command of the imperial city garrison and his son Garon as lord admiral of the fleets defended the coast with his navy.
The Engagement

Invasion and the opening moves -The first to make their mark however was the army of the northern isle landing a force of 30000 men with all there equipment in charledht. this northern war was unlike anything seen before. Sverkan Snow bears ragged great artillery guns behind them, the soldiers wore lighter Armour and carried lighter weapons, large amounts of thme ha gunpowder weapons. there mounted troop here lighter as well save for the terrifying war bear cavlary. The garrison surrendered after two days of fighting. Baron marlo szyel magarn noble march his army of 2000 north to deal with what he thought bust have been a small invasion and raising force what he found was a force of giant proportions with all their weapons and supplies. They also had the 13 navy ships which had been in charlesdht at the time. He sent word back to tetla where regent Stephen hallsberg the king of stars only living brother about the landing. Stephan responded by removing his 22000 men from his brothers army and marching them north. Wilhelm was furious but by that time the second and third lands had begun and by the time the imperial army reached hells landing the city was already under northern isle control.
the destruction of the hallsberg fleet-after his eastern most port had been taken the king of stars second son Garon gathered a fleet of 75 ships mostly galleys. the first major battle of the war was about to begin the the freezing northern sea. Garon knew that a large troop convoy was passing intent on landing at the mouth of river of kings and taking hells-landing, so he planned on stopping them by striking them hard and fast in the flanks. however he had underestimated his foe. the northern isle commanders out witted the blunt captains of the verainberg imperial navy. the ships under garons personal command did succeed in there aim sinking several ships but the northern isle transports rammed his boats and the northern isle troops stormed garosn ships. garons flagship the black lion was boarded. garon and his crew succeeded in repulsing the attack but his fleet was left in tatters with many captains abandoning the cause and fleeing. Garon gathered what ships he could and scrambled to the safety of the mouth of the river of kings. but this succeeded in drawing the enemy towards the coast. he had his own ship burdened and he assumed the command of what land forces there were in the fort of Kingsguard and the surrounding villages. Garon nicknamed the black star after his personal sigil a black star on the imperial flag had a force of 10000 men. by that time it was 7pm and the northern isle forces had started to land there troops. he only had 7000 troops and some 1300 armed sailors. he had few ranged weapons so he decided to attack first attacking the northern isle forces in the night as there were disembarking. but garon only succeeded in killing his own men as his troops were massively out numbered. he was at the head of the fighting. he 38 , a tournament champion and his favor weapons was a morningstar. he however ordered his troops to retreat and he turned south to find friendly lines. the northern army landed the next day and a week after raised there banner over hells-landing walls.
arrival of Michael rastov-the 15 year old Michael had arrived in the imperial capital three weeks after the fall of the heligoland capital and he was welcomed by his mother's younger sister Victoria and crown kaiser Vasily hallsberg the king of stars eldest son. Michael was a shy boy but very smart with a love of art. But like his father he was at a young age made to be a fine warrior and he even had his own suit of Armour a gift from his mother. He was crowned duke of heligoland in the Charles cathedral in the imperial capital and he was married to the 13 year old Fredricka of rovehof(she would later die after giving birth to his daughter Victoria). Michael asked his uncle if he could go to the front and look at the army his mother had told him was rightfully his. Vasily didn’t have a problem and went to ask his father who also agreed and Michael set of with a bodyguard of imperial knights to heligoland. The city of kergen had housed in it the 7000 loyal members of the ducal army under cheif arik valhalasson. Michael dressed in his ducal tunic of red blue and yellow inspected them and took a dagger from one of the officers and drew it along his palm. He didn’t know heligolander but squeeze his hand and a steady stream of blood fell to the earth. It was clear to the men he was willing to shed his blood for them would they. He then mounted a grey horse and drew his sword shouting onward to the front and a roar went around the ducal army. However this inspirational show was not going to stop the northern isle army,at the battle of molhim they had crushed general augustus Von hellnetz army in freezing winter conditions the numerically superior imperial army was crushed losing half its number to battle death wounds and captured. It’s saw the destruction of 5 of the knightly orders and the rest were seriously mauled. By the time duke Michael arrived with the ducal army the imperial army was already retreating along the same road. this battle turned several small lords to the cuse of the invaders and they joined there own troops to the armies of the invaders.
WAR IN THE EAST-In the east regent Stephan and his army had been forced to retreat from there attempted recapture of charledht. They had however unlike the bulk of the imperial army had not been coughs in a disastrous winter battle and when next year came around and the snow melted the magaran army was safe from harm. During this time 10000 recanik soldier defected and joined the advancing northern army. And when the floods had passed the northern isle army commander baron Erich goodnerson marched his army to where the regent and his army were camped at the city of netrza. The resulting battle lasted for four day with either side backing down the battle was taken to the streets of the city which had a population of 20000 people. Running street battle saw streets change hands countless times. A massive flanking northern cavalry charge cut off the regents main supply line and Stephan was forced to fight his way out of the city. Victory was claimed by baron Erich but his army had seen catastrophic losses and didn’t have the steam to follow Stephan to tetla where he planned in holding his foe at bay.
THE WAR COMES TO THE CROWN LANDS.-with the victory at melhim the northern army waited until the end of the winter to gather more men and supplies then under king christian and duke Fredrick march south as the floods ended. Christian decided that marching down the east bank of the river of king straight to the imperial capital was the best option. Crown kaiser vasliy with consent from emperor Wilhelm took command of imperial forces facing northern invasion. By the time he assumed command the crown lands had already been invaded and northern forces had laid siege to the fortress of fredickberg its garrison of 10000 held out for two months enough time for the imperial army to arrive and force the northern army into an open battle.
Christian order his most trusted general andalf helmuk to take 20000 troops and hold the imperial army. The area south of the fort was forested and he believed that the imperial army could be held while the siege was won. Andalf met the imperial army the next day and was able to place artillery in the trees and lay anti cavalry traps along the main and secondary roads. Prince Vasily found the battle hard and his cannons couldn’t accurately target the enemy battery’s. Vasily decided to send forward the sword men. They plunged into the forests engaging the northern swordsmen and their cannons. This was a poly and andalf ordered his rifle men depleted around the trees and in the trees themselves to open fire and the imperial infantry fell back. Vasily ordered that 5 war beast be brought in to torch the forest and the men holding it. They arrived armed with flame cannons and drills to up root the trees. They smashed their way through the forest only for them to get lost and cut off from their imperial army which followed in their stride. The northern isle army then using ice magic and war bears agansit the warbeast killing them and then they fell upon the imperial army know without their support. Vasily however still had the imperial guard and his long rifle engineers. He threw them into battle and they were able to inflict terrible losses and even rout elements of the invaders force. By the close second day of battle fredirckberg had fallen and Vasily retreated to the fortress town of anrianberg.
He received reinforcement from slzski and most importantly the famous Slzki Calvary men. anerianberg was a much better place defend. The out lying area was easily defended and the open field was great for cavalry. He decided to defend outside the fortress giving his rifle and long rifle engineers space. He organised his pike men in thin line and between them and on the flanks his rifle men were positioned. Swordsmen and halbarderes were in the rear with cavalry in reserve. Michael forced were left in the town to defend the fortress. The northern army arrived to weeks later. And Christian and Fredrick wasted no time. They started to bombard the line of pikes and rifles but to little effect. Fredrick commanded the right and he launched his attack and struck the pikemen. The northern cavalry aid this attack with light cavlary and war bears. Vasily wanted this and he launched his massive cavalry force against the flank of Fredrick wing. Christian believing that this was a new reserve force turned 15000 of his men to help his brother. The melee lasted until night when both sides retreated. At 5 the next day the northern army attack in the thunder storm and thrashing rain. Vasily's advantage in cavalry and firearms was known out of the picture yet he didn’t falter ordering his rifle men to take up there swords. He ordered an attack against the right flank and it succeeded in routing many units but it was stopped by duke Henrrick adlaphons berserker men at arms regiment. Vasily then launched his unengaged troops at Christians army. He led on foot at the front of a regular army unit in full dress Armour. He plunged into battle at 5 o’clock. He Wielded his rapier. When the rain stopped the battle ended with both sides having to take there wounded from the field. On the third day Christian and Fredrick decided to attack and they shattered the tiered units of the imperial army. Michael took the initiative and led his 10000 men from the fort and said he would be the rear guard so that the imperial army could leave for the capital. Michael army held it's ground but gradually yielded ground. Wilhelm was told of the defeat at anerianberg he was totally inconsolable and then as the imperial army entered the capital he died. Vasiley was crowned emperor 484YBCW three days later and the war weary emperor decided to open negotiations with the northern isle kings. his brother prince garon (who had spent the rest of the war after his defeat trying to persuade his father in law to send help and appeling to banks to give them loans) The first war had lasted two years and had resulted in thousands of deaths. Michael and Fredrick were recognized as dukes of heligoland.
NORTHERN ISLE ATTEMPTED TAKEOVER OF THE EMPIRE 477YBCW-469YBCW
out break of war-10 year later Frederic second son Gustavus succeeded him as duke (as his first son was next in line to be co-king as christian only had one son) of heligoland along with know 25 year old Michael. Michael was horrified at this. He was a member of the house of rastov and by original royal decree the first war had been fought over. Greedy eyes also looked down from the south. The lords of the northern isle were wanting more land and darian fredericks first son and act co king while his father was ill saw his destiny in the south in the imperial capital. He for years had been raising his own private army made up of mercenary from across the known world. He had rifle men from the verainberg empire, he had shock infantry made up of clans men from the northern badlands. Mounted troops came from frank and pike and sword men came from all over. His uncle Christian shared his view but after the last war he believed that his nation was not ready for another war. He decided to invest money into the badland colony ports and towns. He decided to expand the magical corp. In the verianberg empire emperor vasily was investing in defenses. He had turned charldht from a port city into a port fortress. He modernized the imperial army professional army from 30000 men to 50000 men. He also forcible disbanded all but one of the knightly orders integrating those cavalry men into the base cavalry regiments. On the direct road to the capitol he improved the two main fortresses. His police was also to nullify the power of the duke of heligoland in order to take away power from fredericks second son duke gustavus. Emperor vasily would however try to turned gustavus to his side instead of his father. But this didn't work and at a feast that the emperor held for the two dukes this is where the king and co king and their son planned for war. Darian was sending his private army to fight for his brother. The feast was held at the ducal palace in hells-landing. Michael had his own private troops as well his father Paul had sent him 2000 strelti and they acted as Michael personal guards. By the time the feast began with the emperor at the head of the table the two duke sat either side of him. At midnight darians troops which were disguised as palace guards sealed off the palace from the outside world. Then gustavus sitting on the left hand side of vastly raised his glass and tossed his uncle and brother and then the emperor, then the guards who were members of the of darians private army started to kill the loyalist soldiers and officials. Michael drew his sword and started to pull people from there chairs. His strelti guards pulled the emperor from the chair and he got guards to get him out of the palace. Michael then got himself out of the room and him and his guards took the emperor to hells-landing. He and the emperor believed that they would be safe. They found the city on fire as drains private army had defeated the imperial army. Vasliy ordered them to make a hasty move east to slzki. With the ducal palace and the duchy's capital. This drains private army to be deployed in full. By the winter the northern army had arrived in full and the emperor was in the slzki capital. He had also sent word to the imperial capital to mobilize.
the northerners arive-Duke gustavus, Darian the co-king (know co-king as there father had died) and there cousin king Hans 3rd Were all in hells-landing. There army numbered 120000 men, a large corp where light cavlary made up of bear cavlary and light horse men, a large artilliry corp was with the army as well. 15000 of them were drains private soldiers of the black kraken army . They along with darain and 30000 troops would march of telta. The rest would march on the imperial and slzki capitals. Vasily and Michael who had become close friends Michael being vasily's infant son manfreds faith father. Michael was made commander of the slzski army and vlaiy made the trek to the the imperial capital to take command of the imperial forces. With the turn of the year the war had escalated with the northern army had taken all of the duchy of heligoland. The bulk of the northern army then invaded the duchy of slzski and as the floods passed Michael met them in battle 476YBCW at the battle of gadanzki a small northern farming town. Michael had a core of 10000 tsardom troops with 40000 slzki troops they fought duke Gustavus army of 60000 and the battle would decide the fate of that front of the war for the next 2 years. It would start at high noon and it would end that time the next day and both sides were severely mauled but duke Gustavus was dead on the field. Vasily wanted Michael to march north but of his 50000 men 10000 were dead. Darain and hans were outraged but darian was far away from his brother to help him. with the victory at gadanski Michael emloed the szlski baron to raise more funds to help his unlce.he himself also took out a large loan inorder to keep his own troops supplied with weapons, food and clothing.
PROCLAMATION OF A NEW EMPEROR AND THE HIGH REGENT-Darian marched his army down the left bank of the dranavan river defeating every army which faced him. his willing this to lead at the front as the co-king injured in the arm. darians advance was while his older cousin Hans held the imperial army at fredirckberg. Darian marched straight down the dranavan and with the close of 476YBCW he had laid siege to tetla. Darian had been able to gain some support from minor magaran families and many recanik tribal leaders. in the south members of house dracul (the empresses family) declared for king Hans olinberg marching a large army of some 10000 horse men north defeating a magaran force attempting to march north and relive the telta garrison. a small magarna army of 7000 men joined the besiegers. the city was ringd and the river rout north was blocked by northern longships. massive guns pulle by Sverkan Snow bears and smaller guns bombarded the city day and night. the dying regent Stephan saw his elder brother legacy dyeing and as his garrison lay down their arms in surrender with the beginning of the new year he died. Darian appointed himself regent of magara and summoned the lords of magara to telta. The imperial armies and loyalist trapped on the right side of the dranavan river know had to fight their way out but with many recanik and young magaran lords coming to the olinberg banner it would be a difficult fight. Darain summoned his cousin hans and took the baron crown (forged by the elves for the barons of ushia) and placed it upon his head. The crown was a symbol of imperial power in magara and this was a statement. The northern isle were planning on taking the verainberg empire for there own and hans was declared Hans the 1st and 3rd and proclaimed the duel monarchy of the isle and verainberg .
Michael takes control- on hearing that hans had proclaimed himself empror the mortally ill vasily summoned michael to his bed chamber. there with what little strenght he mustered he proclamied in fornt of the high concorator and several high ranking lords that from this day forth, michal rastov duke of heligoland, count of Pentzberg, price of the empire and commander in cheif of the impieral army, will be imperial high regent with all the powers and lands of the empror until crown kaiser Manfred come of age. he then made the young lord fix his seal to the legal document making him high regnet until manfred majority. that night asily died and the two mounth old manfred was named emperor in the impieral capital. then michael went to the impieral war council room and summoned the genraal of the empire.
THE VAMPIRE-As the rains passed the northern armies march once again and would attempt to take frederickberrg. Otto took the garrison outside the walls and destroyed the northern army facing him despite their superior numbers. He would then lead his army north and cut the northern 1st army from the 3rd and turned north to destroy the 1st by late summer. The 3rd would be beaten by Michael leading the imperial army. Michael's army at this point was mostly slavic soldiers from the frontier and motijza (as the crownlands were recovering from extensive conscription). Otto chased what was left of field marshal vasa’s 1st army all the way to the heligoland border when the first snows of winter stopped otto where he was. Otto pleaded for reinforcements from baron john the leader of the slzski army marching north but the baron had his orders and by the new year 475YBCW otto was forced to retreat. Hans was horrified and dispatched two new fresh armies to invade the crownlands on mass. Michael army stopped the first one during mid spring the height of the wet season at the battle of breitenfielld a small town in walchindorf ( the former land of shade and shadow known as drakenfell). The armies got mired in the mud and they both took shocking losses. The frontiersmen hardened by the wars with setercha fought through the hardships forcing the right wing of the northern army back with horrendous casualties then capturing a small hamlet just east of the town. The battle resulted in a stalemate with the northern army retreating and the imperial army too tired to chase them. Otto realized that he would have to score a decisive victory if he was to turn the initiative in the hands of the empire. He would hit the kings of the northern isle hard. He attack draians young son and heir (hans had only a young son George and two older daughters helga and ulrica at this point.) darain young son 16 years old Christian was encamped in a small town on the magaran boarder called Gora with 5000 troops of his fathers personal army. Otto had 15000 men of which 3000 were Frankish mercenary under the command of prince phillip de mormanie. Otto attacked in the dead of night leading on horseback with an elite of 50 vampire cavalry men. Christian who was in a small house while the attack was taking place was taken from his bed and beheaded. Otto then sent the head to his father via messenger and he taunted the two kings to come and fight him. Michael was outraged attacking without orders than slaughtering the enemy entirely was not right but then otto reminded him. Wars are not won with kindness my regent. He then asked if the bulk of the slzki army which was currently awaiting to invaded the duchy of heligoland to be sent to help him. Michael declined instead giving him the 50 year old general alexi petrenociv the second son of the lord of mortijza and his army of 30000 men and 20 guns. Otto took this and march into magara where the two kings hans and darain waited for him.
THE GRAVEYARD OF KINGS-
The battle took place at the beginning of autumn. A light rain had began to fall. The northern army lead by there emperor hans 1st and 3rd and his co-king darian had amassed 80000 men of which half were not from the northern isle. Otto had amassed 45000 men from across the empire and was also relying on high priest mikols and the army of faith to arise and help him( the army of faith having retreat from tetla before the city was put to siege. The army of faith had around 10000 men approaching from the east. Otto had chosen his battle filed. A wide open plain with steep hills on either side. A small mining hamlet was in the center which had a road leading through it. Otto placed his cannons on either sides of the valley. He took his army and placed it just west of the hamlet. He left his cavalry in reserve under the command of prince Philip. Hans and darain still seething with anger through there army against the organised ranks of rifle swords and spears. Otto and general Alexi fought from the front. The imperial lines held. Northern units getting pushed harder and harder against the centre of the imperial army. Otto's cannons thundered down on them but northern counter batteries succeeded in knocking out 3 guns on the northern bank. Darain called him his elite cavalry and charged against the right flank with hans taking the left. The two kings plunged into battle there cavalry cutting down ranks of imperial pike men. The otto spring his trap. He had hoped that darain would come on the rights that was where he was. He ordered the right to fall back and as the northern cavalry advanced otto imperial long rifles opened fire killing darain and half of his cavalry. Seeing the commander dead shocked the northerners and believing the day was lost the men began to withdraw. Hans had also been killed but not before killing general alexi. but with both their leaders dead general Sigismund ordered a retreat all the way back to telta. phillip was ordered to chance that retreating army all the way into the jaws of the army of faith. After two days of disorganized marching sigiusmands met high priest mikols in open battle with otto not far behind and Phillips cavalry only a few hours away. Signismand ordered his army to split in two. One numbering 30000 men would march north to meet the relief army and then march back to tetla. The other force commanded by himself would stand and fight. The resulting battle saw otto forces arrive in full force and crush sigiusmands army. He was taken prisoner. The battles casualties were in the tens of thousands. Half of the northern army was dead wounded missing or captured.
NORTHERN DEFENSE-After their father and uncles death George was proclaimed George the 1st of both the verainberg empire and the northern isle with his co-queen being his eldest sister. Both of which were young hegla being only 9 years old (483YBCW) and George being only 2 years old (477YBVW). The regency would fall to the viceroy of the northern isle colony in the badland Eric tevelson became regent. He decided the best course of action was to wed helga only 7 to her brother in order to preserve the bloodline. He then ordered all field commander to gather their forces together and prepare to defend there holding. As both empires were technical ruled by infants (Manfred being only 4 come 473YBCW) the war slowed down. Both sides had taken horrific loses and were tired of war. The northern isle kingdom erected border watch towers on the magaran and heligoland borders and weeded out option to them in the areas they controlled with most feeling across into the tsardoms. Michael appealed to his father Paul 1st the tsar know also 50 years old. Paul who hadn't ever like his second son at first turned him away then his eldest son the 30 year old tsarevich alexander (who was named for his mother) told that Michael was his flesh and blood and would help the high regent to defeat the olinbergs . Paul outrage that his son would dare question him considered having him removed from the line of succession but then he realized that his nations army’s deepened of verainberguer officers and weapons. Paul sent another letter via the sultans embassy. He would send an army of 20000 men under Alexander. However given the size of the tsardoms by the end of 473YBCW the army was read. However winter ment it would be delayed. Michael would appoint during this time otto as imperial commander in chief.
THE RASTOV OFFENSIVE-Michael believes that his brother would gather support on his westward march soon he concentrated his movements north. The northern isle commanded positions just north of fredericksburg and this was were his offensive would begin. He personally lead. 50000 imperial troops north and on the day of 28 birthday 3rd of march 472YBCW michael captured the fort after a short battle. Baron john would also march his army north driving into the duchy of heligoland and taking parts of the coast. Michael forced would drive north and pushed through the spring rains to the border of the duchy which was ruled by a regency council. The ducal army stooped michaels army at kergon meanwhile was march came Alexander began his offensive driving into magara with his 20000 mainly cavalry men. He recruited many recaniks to his banner along with remnants of the old regency council and army of faith. The forced the northern armies east. Michaels army continued to drive north and was only stopped when a northern army cut their supply lines and threatened there rear. Michael continued to drive north and his arm got within 10 miles of hells-landing when it was stopped due to a mixture of bad weather and execution. Alexander continued to drive west threatening the rear of the northern isle forces. He was stopped when a larger army placed itself between him and the magaran capital and he couldn't outflank it until the next year giving the northern isle time to re group. Michael on the other hand (who had received word on the birth of his son by his second wife baroness sophie smilgy ) march once again on hells-landing and put it to siege. This was when a letter came to his camp.the regent eric had sent him an offer of piece. If king George could be recognized as king of the verainberg empire placing him one step below Manfred and ulric his sister would rule as duchess of heligoland then they would end the war. Michael Was out ranged and ordered that if the city were to fall before reinforcements arrived the the men could loot it and sack it. It did and the city was set alight. The duchy however still was mostly under northern control and the ducal army (which had been reformed) and 10000 northern troops would march against baron john beating him and killing him in the resulting confrontation leaving his 35 year old son Josef as the head baron in the duchy of slzski. In order for him to win the war know was to knock this army out and then force the northern armies from magara. The ducal army was encircled and was forced to surrender to the imperial. Michael then had his own ducal palace built after all it was his land. Michael ordered to to take all imperial forces and squeeze the northern isle kingdom out of there land. eventually the two brothers meat up and planed on a northern attack thougher. this would result in the last great battle of the war 470YBCW and the joined 47000 strong tsardom imperial army destroyed the last major army in what was left the duel monarchy of the isle and verainberg. the battle was the battle of Barons hill.
The war lasted until 469YBCW and resulted in an imperial victory. The war had seen 8 years of fighting with 10 years of peace in between. Both nations had suffered terrible and neither would be able to fight a large war for many years. It saw the birth of vampire in the imperial court. The war ended with the duchy being dissolved by Michael and when Manfred assumed the crown he made his faith father prince of the empire and minster of the army .
Outcome

Aftermath
the disbandment of the duchy of heligoland meant that the heligolanders no longer had a state and were know under the control of the house of hallsberg totally. this angered the heligolanders and many small revolts followed the war a forcibly put down.depite this the northern marches where kept inorder to place barrier between the heilgolanders and the rest of the empire. however the hallsberg of the march where rewarded for there loyalty by being given the winter marches and the great castle of Asbang.

Legacy
the war outlined the fact that the northern isle army could both dominate on land and sea. they had proven to be a strong force on the Continent as they knew that they had to march down the eastern back to capture fredricksberg and anerinberg in order to take the impiral capital. they had also gotten ride of the stereotype reever raper style of war fair and became a contient force.
