Nemeli

Northern humans inhabiting the large island of Nemel who live by a knight’s code of honor. As a people, they have a strong presentment of Spirit Magic.
Long ago, the Nemeli gained control of the island, over the other humans, through their partnership with the island's Dragons.
After generations of peace on the island, the Nemeli Prince, Cadence Dragon Brother, and his draconic partner, Rhythmus, went missing while on their first quest. When the Sovereign Cadence the Last's only son never returned, this changed the line of succession, and caused a rift to form between the Nemeli and and the Dragon population, as he unfairly blamed them for the loss of his son. The Sovereign also set in motion a nationwide period of isolation that shut out most of the world outside of their island kingdom for several centuries. What little trade continued outside of the island was tightly controlled by the Nemeli Government through their chivalric orders.

Art & Architecture

The older architecture was built with much proportions; most doors and hallways are large enough to drive a carriage through. Newer buildings and wings are much less grand.

Common Myths and Legends

At one time the Nemeli lived and worked with dragons as equal members of society prior to their disappearance. That part of their history was stricken from their annals, and the tales of dragons that remained relegated to fairy stories- until they weren't.

Gender is meaningless. Titles are not differentiated by gender. Sovereign, Consort, Prince, Layrd, Sir are all considered genderless by the Nemeli.
