Rhythmus
A Dragon of Nemel and the third child born to Ard Ri Allegra and Melbyn; his older sisters, Lyric and Melody, are Broodsiblings. He has the Gifts of Earth Magic and Fire Magic affinities of Elemental Magic, as well as Spirit Magic.
He grew up training to be a knight with his best friend Prince Cadence Dragon Brother; as Sovereign of the humans, Cadence' father Cadence the Last was a very close partner to the Ard Ri. He tended to feel bad for the prince as owing to him having two older sisters, he had a lot less pressure growing up. They would take off together as often as possible to just so Cay could get a break.
When the boys reached knighthood, the two set off together on their first real quest; it took them south to the mainland where something was causing disturbances on Lake Seula. They met a naked lady who turned out to be Rosililly; she had just become human and didn't know anything about being human. Who knows what would have happened if she had seen the dragon first... Anyway, they solve the mystery, and Cay falls in love with Rosililly in the process. Unfortunately, since she was originally a Star Fae, she can't go back to Nemel with him (they're a collective and she can't physically go that far). He decides to stay with her and damn the consequences. Rhyth decides to stay as well, knowing that returning to Nemel will ruin his best friend's happiness.
They set up a home for the three of them east of the Star Fae Grove. They are able to get a lot done with magic and good old fashioned manual labor. Both knights had squired with all three orders coming up, and there time with the Order of the Frost prepared them for building and planning. There are things they need for their home that they just can't make though. Right across the giant Lake Seula there is the Temple to Astrid as well as the Ushann settlement, Iris, on the lake's western bank, however, Rhyth and Cay are too afraid of being recognized to visit either locale. Therefore they strike east to the ocean for trade. Rosililly tries to make the journey with them, but she turns back when the link to her people makes it too difficult to continue. The boys build a ocean-worthy craft that can accommodate Rhythmus as well as a shelter and an out building to store their cart (speaking of the cart- Rhyth is NOT OK with pulling a cart and it is only something he is willing to do because there are no good choices here. Cay would NEVER give him shit for this- although I would, but no one ever gave up their life for my happiness so...). Anyway, they sail down to the Free City of Gen and occasionally even venture as far as Menes over the years (this is rare- Ros is at home waiting).
Rhyth adores Ros and Cay's children, who he refers to as kidlets (similar to draglets, which are baby dragons), and he has big role in raising them.
Over the years, Rhyth and Ros fall in love. They don't ever act on it, but it remains between them.
