Allegra
Ard Ri Allegra
She is the leader of her people in Nemel, the Ard Ri. Allegra is married to Melbyn, and they have three children: Lyric, Melody, and Rhythmus. She is also partnered with the Sovereign of Nemel, Cadence the Last.
In 001 her son, Rhythmus, and Sovereign Cadence's son, Prince Cadence Dragon Brother, leave the island on a quest. They are never heard from again. The Sovereign takes this very poorly and lashes out in particular at Allegra; she is going through her own grief as her son is also missing. Unfortunately, Sovereign Cadence seems to take the existence of her daughters as a personal insult as his sole heir is gone. This rift is felt throughout the island, and tensions begin to grow between the humans and the dragons.
In late 003 her son in law, Nolan, leaves his family- Allegra's daughter Lyric and her granddaughter, Ailbhe- with a small party to find Rhythmus and Prince Cadence; they never return. The rift between humans and dragons that started among the lay people, is spreading into the chivalric orders, poisoning lifelong partnerships.
She relocates the majority of non-Knight dragons away from Ballycay under the leadership of her daughter, Melody, who takes Aili with her. Then as dragons are going missing with higher and higher frequency, in 016, she has Mel take them away from the island, south to the mainland. Melbyn, who is very ill, and Lyric remain to lead the rest of their people, which includes the bulk of their fighters due to their ties to the chivalric orders.
