Dalyeric is the element of decay. She is among the most feared and disliked elements alongside Zalikar and they have a close working relationship. Dalyeric has a jealousy for Zalikar's pact with Azryth, finding herself a force closer to death, but she doesn't let this jealousy get in the way of working together.

Most of Dalyeric's aspects are poorly understood in the current age. Their five aspects are Ithkor, Torith, Veksit, Bulok and Krithda. Ithkor is fungi. Torith is toxins and poisons. Veksit is disease, viruses and bacteria. Bulok is all bugs involved in decomposition or feed on organic material. Krithda is order and sanity. Sometimes people believe Krithda belongs to Raegeric and Malok, chaos, belongs to Dalyeric.

Dalyeric is a proud being despite embodying what others might see as unsavory element. She sees the beauty in decay, knowing fully that it is an essential necessity in the balance of the world. Dalyeric is a planner, she enjoys orderly and intricate interplay. She enjoys facilitating, organizing and directing these complex and often unseen events. She is also someone who is ruthless, unblinking, savage and devastating while executing these events, always keeping the end result in mind and ignoring everything else.
She can be hasty in these matters. She sees the suffering her plots can cause but she looks past them out of necessity. And she does so regardless of what anyone else might think or say.

Dalyeric can be rather underhanded and deceptive, not often what she seems. Tricky and clever, one may never guess whether her cheerfulness is a sign of danger or genuine amusement. She will commit the most vicious of atrocities, plunge herself into utter filth and corruption, equipped with the sweetest demeanor. She does so not out of cruelty or malice but with a hidden sense of purpose. Anyone who knows Dalyeric are keenly aware that everything she does, every ounce of delight in her seeming ruthlessness, is driven by the same overarching purpose—balance and order. They know nothing will stand before her and maintaining the balance of life and death in Emynea, no matter the cost and no matter how dirty her own hands become. Because she knows no matter what she faces, only she can bring order where others see hopelessness.

Familiar

Alongside all of the Erlithmanil, Dalyeric's physical form was destroyed and her soul was sealed away by Accia Syltharis and Sylthari the Celestial, before her body could reform. Without their divine souls, the bodies of the Erlithmanil were unable to regenerate and withered away. This string of events is referred to as the Downfall of the Erlithmanil. Like the rest of her kind, she seeks a new body and took on an Elemental Familiar to this end. Dalyeric's familiar is Wyrm, who originally a Wata Jackal. Wyrm was not one of the original ten familiars and is instead a descendant. Wyrm faithfully serves Dalyeric, understanding and endorsing their mission. They have grown quite close over the thousands of years their partnership has lasted, Wyrm often on their hosts' shoulders in a serpentine form.

Abilities

Dalyeric is the source of all five of her aspects—she is decay itself. She can freely manipulate any of her aspects without limitation. She is also able to temporarily cut off a decay caster from accessing her element, temporarily disabling their innate connection. However, Dalyeric cannot permanently disconnect a caster and it takes concentration to maintain. She also retains the ability to create new casters, temporary or otherwise. Dlyeric can freely come and go from her elemental planes and exert control over them. She can be aware of anything occurring in these planes when shifting her awareness to them. However, most of these abilities are limited by whether or not she possesses a host body. Without a body, all of her activity is limited to her planes and her separate aspects. These five aspects are fugi, toxins, bugs, disease and order!

Veksit
Veksit is the aspect of diseases, all bacteria and viruses falling under this aspect, especially those which kill or break down the dead. Harmless micro-organisms falls instead under Malrot the Microscopic, one of her Aethid chldren. Veksit is an aspect which is highly misunderstood and feared.

Bulok

Bulok revolves around all bugs, insects and parasites which are carnivorous or feed on the dead. Meanwhile, those which are herbivores and which feed on nectar fall under the influence of the Aethid child of Dalyeric, Zuvaath the Invertebrate.

Dalyeric the Orderly

Krithda

Last of her aspects is Krithda, a mental aspect. Krithda encapsulates emotions, thoughts, states and memories revolving around order, sanity, selflessness and prioritizing the many over the few.

Appearance

Like all of the Erlithmanil, Dalyeric can change her appearance in any way she chooses, similarly to a Shape Shifter. She is tall, slender and wispy--very delicate and ghostly. After all, she has no need of a physically powerful body, death at her fingertips. She enjoys ginger hair or less natural colors such as fucsia or indigo, usually straight or voluminous. Her eyes are either dark purple or pinkish violet and Dalyeric enjoys dark makeup and clothing if not decorating her body with insectoid body parts like spider legs or insect wings. She is also deathly pale, sometimes resembling a corpse outright!

Gender and Sexuality

Dalyeric mostly leans into a female gender identity but feels most comfortable with an intersex body. There are occasions she will take up a male appearance and she certainly doesn't consider herself entirely female, she just enjoys the pretty appearance. It all depends on her preference at the time and who her audience will be. As for sexuality, Dalyeric is pansexual and polyamorous. In fact, she is an avid sadomasochist, enjoying toying with her partners and seeing how far she can push them. Alarmingly, she has been known to take things too far by overestimating a lover's tolerance!

Personality

Dalyeric of Decay
Charismatic, cheery and charming, Dalyeric knows her way around people yet there is always something just... off about her. When meeting her gaze, you can almost see the wheel turning in her mind as she weighs her options and cooks up schemes. She isn't afraid to give someone a verbal lashing, her words ever sharp and often harsh or sudden. While she was more uncertain of herself in her youth, she now doesn't tolerate the careless or stupid especially when they disrespect her or the undeserving. She'll gladly and cheefully tormend offenders, her ire torturous and vicious! But she is also quick to defend and nurture outcasts or anyone who appreciate's her aspects--doctors, scientists, assassins.

Dalyeric has a keen mind, having a deep understanding of anatomy and physiology, her element centering on the death and dismantling of organisms. But her intelligence ought not be an indication she is harmless--a savage ruthlessness waits beneath the surface. She has perhaps the deadliest of aspects, she hardly values humanity more than the bugs, diseases and fungi falling under her domain, killing without hesitation. She also has a tendency to get carried away or becomes blinded by her hastiness! These come together in dangerous ways, Dalyeric regularly leaving destruction in her wake as she pursues the ultimate goal. Even those closest to her are far from safe, easily becoming colateral damage. After all, she does none of this for herself, keeping the overall order no matter the cost.
Dalyeric, no patience
Yet somehow, she is also the best at cleaning up her messes, tidying up loose ends and putting salve on every wound. In her own mind, Dalyeric is a gardener, tearing up dead roots and clipping away old growth so her garden can thrive. She doesn't seem to notice when she's gone too far or how exhausting it can be too reign her in. She struggles to recognize that people are more than simple plant clippings.

Most of the Erlithmanil are straightforward but Dalyeric enjoys complexity--she lives for it! She finds beauty in what others might view as broken or ruined and she enjoys salvaging these seeming lost cuses. Dalyeric is capable of being extremely helpful, resourceful and even nurturing but left unchecked, she can become suffocating, overbearing and belittling. Far too goal oriented, she believes she knows best and won't be told otherwise, trying to control every interlocking detail. She can't stand disorder and will go too far to regain control, holding on too tight or even losing herself to her temper when she isn't able to have things go her way.
Dalyeric Anime

If you manage to win her affection, Dalyeric's love is all too sweet. She becomes doting, protective and generous, especially in the case of organisms under her domain! Where most see death and suffering she sees dutiful creatures doing their best within their role. Where most see putrid flesh rotting away into sludge, a foul odor in their nostrils and bile in their mouth, Dalyeric is fascinated by the intricate dance of decay blossoming and reclaiming all they had taken. She is just as ready to recognize the flaws and ugliness within people, to recognize how these scars and complexities have helped them survive, and she recognizes their strength where others claim weakness. She helps these individuals face all of the gritty, unpleasant baggage within, riding out the worst and helping to salvage the beauty in even the most broken of people. Whether she was asked to or not.

Personal History

Dalyeric has always been one of the most reviled and misunderstood elements and this was much harder on her in her youth. While humanity fawned over the magic and gifts of her peers such as fire, water and liht they were just as instantly repulsed by her own. Her cute and orderly little bugs, her fantastical and unique fungi, her clever poisons and her persistent diseases. Only Zalikar received the same trepidation and this is what drew her to him as an ally. Over the millenia, Dalyeric grew more confident in her gifts and the vital roles they played, developing an odd and twisted sense of humor instead. In fact, there are times she takes joy in terrifying the small minded, in living up to their expectations!

Morality

In Dalyeric's eyes, any action is permissable as long as balance and order is maintained. One or two lives are never more important than the majority! She will gladly cut off the hand to save the body and will endure "discomforts" or small sacrifices in order for the overarching scheme to go right. She has learned to rely on her allies to alert her to when she has taken things too far, even as she thrashes against their limitations. Dalyeric also places very little value on human life, these creatures who believe themselves above all other forms of life. In Dalyeric's eyes, all organic life is the same—simply fodder for her children, a fate all humans will eventually fall to. Whats a little sooner? She sees no reasons humans should be special. This leaves her totally at odds with Lithmor and Ferith who prize human life so highly.

Motivation

Dalyeric is one of the few beings aware of the true nature of Zalikar's pact with Azryth. Zalikar understands the true nature of Dalyeric and often leverages the abilities granted by his pact to keep Dalyeric in check as she can become too ambitious or arrogant. Dalyeric still must continue supporting Zalikar despite this, due to the details of the pact, and overlooks these occurrences for the grand scheme of things.

Dalyeric of Decay

Family

Dalyeric has three children: Banalkar, Malrot and Zuvaath. Banalkar is her eldest and she have a tenuous relationship. She is much closer with her younger two, Malrot and Zuvaath, doting on them endlessly! After all, she was the third parent of Banalkar, fathered also by Lunil and carried by Fliral! After all, Erlithmanil are capable of birthing Aethid children with more than two parents, Banalkar the first instance. Despite the indirect parentage of Banalkar, Dalyeric and he respect each other even when they don't agree.

Friends

Dalyeric isn't well liked by a number of the Erlithmanil. She considers Zalikar her closest friend, easily becoming jealous of his friendship Wylrith and Rylis. She can be clingy with Zalikar but he understands her well enough to know where it comes from, that he is one of the few beings to understand her loneliness. This isn't to say she doesn't have other relationships. She is very close to Fliral and Lunil, sharing children with them even. Ylithuum finds comfort in Dalyeric's company, confides in her and relies on her considerably. But Zalikar is the only other who understands what it is to be openly disliked and made the villain by humanity and even their own kind.

She and Wylrith have no open dislike of each other, Wylrith understanding their friendship with Zalikar is not affected by her occasional jealousy. However, Rylis openly dislikes Dalyeric not quite understanding how Zalikar, Ylithuum and Raegeric tolerate let alone enjoy her company. He tolerate her despite his distrust but both Lithmor and Ferith are openly volatile towards Dalyeric, utterly at odds at every turn.

Counterpart

You might predict and even expect that Dalyeric and her counterpart to butt heads and oppose each other. However, Dalyeric gets along very well with Raegeric. In fact, they are so ridiculously attracted to each other to the point it bothers everyone else around them, finding them insufferable. They have incredible chemistry despite being total opposites. Dalyeric enjoys his unpredictable and extreme personality while he enjoys how dangerous and clever she can be. Cutesy nicknames, finding ways to provoke and incite each other, being far too affectionate or physical in public, playing idiotic or complicated games. Zalikar in particular tries to avoid them when they are together, already having little tolerance for Raegeric. However, they are also quick to wear the other out and their time spent together doesn't often last very long.
